Food is always pretty good, but service is in need of severe improvements. Reservation at 6:30 but I was not sat till nearly 7. Servers aren’t particularly nice but not egregious. Waited nearly twenty minutes to be even spoken to once upon entering the restaurant despite constant efforts to attract the attention and when I spoke directly to one the servers they waved me off without responding to me. It doesn’t matter how good the food is, if the serving staff treats you poorly. Or I suppose I should say the food at Kibo sushi is not worth the poor quality of service that you are going to receive.

The hocka salmon roll is always really good and so is the I don't know roll. It's always different but never disappoints. Love this place.

Honestly, the food here is amazing! I've ordered multiple things from the menu and yet I have not been disappointed. My favorite rolls so far are the Kibo, Hartz, Salmon Skin hand roll and Isabel!! Isabel, Hartz & Salmon skin hand-roll are my top 3 favorites. For the appetizer, I really enjoy the garlic edamame!! If you're a garlic girl like I am, you should definitely give it a try. The gyozas and mixed tempura are a hit as well!! For rice plates, I really enjoy the chicken teriyaki. I usually never order chicken teriyaki at restaurants but oh man this one is soooo good. I really like the salad and pickled vegetables that come with it.

We did not have the chance to eat, it was packed full, we were turned away either POS issues or it looked as not enough staff for to the sea of people to be served . Hopefully we'll have better luck at another time .

Ya gotta do something about the service! The food is really fresh and good! But the servers are off their game anytime it gets partially busy! Man! Painful! Again, live the food, but help is needed!!!...in a big way! See, this is where the "tip" should be a distinction between the "service" and the "kitchen". At this spot, the kitchen stays on point, but the service falls way short! Now, I'm comparing this joints service to several other sushi spots in town and the next cities over (North and South). Bottom line - I recommend! Love the food! Pick your times because the service is whacked during semi-busy times (think if it really got busy...ugh), but the food is on point!!

We doordash from here all the time and have dined in a few times as well. It is always very good and definitely the best spot in Danville (there is a lot of competition but none of them compare to kibo as far as fish quality and menu selections for both sushi/sashimi and non-sushi items). Even when we doordash the items like katsu and tempura always come super crispy and fresh. My only suggestion or complaint is that recently their door dash menu seems kinda broken...weird add on options and some of the menu items have missing/wrong descriptions (ex: some rolls no description, and the "i don't know roll" is supposed to be a chefs choice but has the same description as one of their other rolls but like $3 more expensive). the great stuff we've tried and really liked: -hamachi kama-pink buri-gyoza -tempura-tofu agedashi-katsu chicken-all the nigiri

Was looking for a lunch spot on a Saturday and stumbled across Kibo Sushi. We had a very positive experience. Food was very fresh, prepared well and tasted great. The portion sizes were also bigger than we anticipated. I definitely will go back.Vegetarian options: There are a couple of vegetarian sushi rolls and soy paper is available for an upgrade

Surprisingly good! We ordered rainbow roll and Kibo roll. The fish tasted very fresh, and the rice ratio is good. Kibo roll has the pickled red onion on the top, so it tasted a little bit spicy. Even though I don't like raw onion, the pickled onion doesn't bother me. We are looking forward to try other rolls from Kibo Sushi.

We've been here multiple times! So much tasty food, amazing service (the waitress is super attentive with her customers), and the decor is unique to what most likely are the owners' tastes! An underrated Japanese restaurant in Danville!

YAYS: Holy Moly! Hidden gem!! This is my go to sushi spot. 5/5 one of the BEST sushi restaurants I've ever been to. Everything I've ordered hits the spot with my go to roll being the Kibo Roll. It is a quaint spot, never crazy busy and service is 100%. I also love their sake!! Sushi chefs love customizing your rolls and making the experience personal. NAYS: Could be vibier with at least music in the background but the quaint nature also makes this spot so great!

Wow... stop looking for a place to eat, you found it. This place is legit. My family loves sushi, we've tried many places in the bay area, our last go to was Yayume which is GREAT! But this place? Kibo? Next level. Absolutely next level. Don't doubt me, don't ask for sources (trust me bro), this is the top of the line. Great sushi. Great service. Great environment. Go here. Go.

We love the Danville Roll! Service is so attentive and kind. They are kid friendly with the chopstick helpers. We enjoyed sitting outside with the heaters. Only con for me were the restrooms. Dirty restrooms are really a turn off! Sticky floors from the hallway that leads you to the restroom and in the restroom.

Such a great place and WAY BETTER than the other Sushi place in Danville. I feel like I get ripped off every time I go to the other place. Kibo Rocks!

Is it possible for sushi to taste "home cooked"? ? It's VERY good.
