Batter ‘N Icing - Danville (formerly Smallcakes Danville)

Batter n icing is the absolute best place for cakes and cupcakes! I have been going there for many years (even when they were formerly Small Cakes). Their cakes and cupcakes are BOTH delicious and beautiful! I haven’t found another bakery that can do both well! They nail it every time! My children have grown up with batter n icing as their birthday cakes - we are so lucky! I also get housewarming cupcakes for my clients (I’m a realtor) and they always do a stellar job. My clients/friends/family always give rave reviews! I am super picky so trust me when I say they are amazing! Love love love them!

Batter 'N Icing' cupcakes were served to our seniors at our local high school's Graduation Night event and they did NOT disappoint! The qualiy in ingredients and craftmanship resulted in fluffy, perfectly sweetened cupcakes, beautiful presentation and the most delicious frosting! I am looking forward to ordering from Batter 'N Icing again soon for my daughter's graduation party! Great job!!!

Food and atmosphere were both fine. Cupcakes are cute. I have been here before. I purchased two packages of assorted mini cupcakes ($17each) and a box of pup-cakes (cupcakes for my pup) for $8. So with tax spent almost $50 on some treats with the establishment. I asked for a bag to hold my items, and was told by the cashier they did not have bags. So I had to stack my three boxes and exit while holding them. After trying to open the door and walk out, the three plastic boxes slid on each other, and the smaller shaped pup-cake box dropped literally one step outside of the business door. The staff member saw this happen and seemed to be telling her staff members and giggling when I went back inside to tell her the cupcakes fell. When I told her they should really offer patrons bags for their purchases and ask for a new set of pup-cakes, she said because it happened outside of the store they would not replace them.

It is very unfortunate- it could have easily been replaced, and could have kept my return business with “batter n icing” but I will not be returning and I do not recommend others either. Good customer service is more important than a pretty cupcake, and I felt very unappreciated

My daughter is allergic to eggs, nuts and dairy. Needless to say, for 4 of 6 birthdays, i've always made her cakes/cupcakes. Last year we tried one bakery and the cake was lovely but not so tasty. This time, I decided to research a bit more and found Batter n' icing!! Sooo amazing! I tried their vegan cupcakes to test it out, Icing was soooo good! Not used to deliciousness and vegan. My daughter got her LOL themed cake, and everyone said it tasted amazing!! Thank you 😊 very talented, the cake looked just like the inspiration pictures we sent in.

Their tipsy cupcakes are amazing and always such a great conversation piece!

I have only had these cupcakes a few times because I am not from the area. I have been in the area after closing for work, the owner has seen me a few times and always brings me a couple cupcakes for the family. We all love them, they are so moist and flavorful. And very appealing to look at. I appreciate the owner for giving me the hook up and if he reads this. Thank you so much. Me and my family appreciate you and your cupcakes very much. Your place rocks.

Preordered mini Halloween cupcakes at $35 per dozen and we ordered 2 dozen. And they have no bags to bag them up so as we were leaving one of the top boxes shifted, and we lost gripping of it and so the cupcakes shifted all over the box asked them if they could fix the decorations. They told us they could fix it but they would charge us $35 more Just to redecorate. Absolute horrendous customer service. Especially for someone that is a frequent customer. It makes me rethink if I ever wanna go there again. The explanation for the cost was that they would have have to pay their decorator overtime to fix them. Why would you tell a customer that!

I first tasted Batter n icing cupcakes when a parent brought some cupcakes to a den meeting. They were the softest, most moist & fresh tasting cupcakes I ever tasted. I stopped by their Danville location soon after and loved all the different flavors they had to offer. Their mango cupcake is to die for!

Definitely try Batter n icing next time you are craving something sweet or you have something to celebrate. I bet you won’t be disappointed! Also, you will be supporting a business that supports local schools through regular donations!

This was the best bakery cake I’ve ever had!!! I ordered a 60-person cake for my MIL’s birthday and although it was expensive, the service, taste, and cake execution was 5 stars! I asked for a naked-style chocolate cake with berries and a light whipped frosting and it wasn’t too sweet and light for a perfect July summer day!

Everyone at the party went back for seconds and we had leftovers for about a week that were amazing. I couldn’t recommend a bakery more!!!

I never like the cupcakes at cupcake shops- and I’ve been to many. The cake is usually lacking flavor and the icing is overwhelming- BUT not here. Best cupcakes!

Wanted a coffee and a small bite.

Faz didn’t disappoint. Delicious feta and spinach tart. Excellent machiado.

The server was perfect. The price was typical for the area.

Beautiful area. Lots of great art.
