Old Towne Danville Bakery & Cafe

My family and I have been patrons of Danville Bakery for years. However, I must express my profound disappointment regarding the custom cake orders I placed on two separate occasions this year.
The 2 cakes I ordered was noticeably dry (shocking flaw for a bakery that prides itself on premium goods), tasted at least a day old and completely lacked flavor you'd expect. The decoration execution was the worst I've ever seen & mind you this Bakery has done many cakes for me in the past. My order last year took me by surprise & I needed to give them one more try. Wish I hadn't.
The core issue is the dramatic mismatch between the high price point and the poor product quality.
I truly wish I could still recommend this bakery, but based on this clear decline in product freshness and customer care, I cannot. I won't be returning.

Outstanding customer service, idulgently delicious, and gorgeous baked goods! When it comes to tiered cakes, often there's a compromise between presentation and taste. They champion both here without sacrifice.

Old Town Danville Bakery made an absolutely stunning and delicious wedding cake! Not only did it look beautiful in photos, but it tasted incredible too. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a show-stopping cake that tastes as amazing as it looks!

I’m a Texas grandma who frequents Danville to visit my grandkids. Besides our grandkids, Danville Bakery is one of the highlights of our visits! Karen and the guys make the BEST almond and chocolate croissants I’ve ever had! She’s delightful, and I enjoy visiting with her. I highly recommend Old Towne Danville Bakery!!

Karen and her staff made an amazing wedding cake for my wedding through Wedgewood Weddings. A three tier chocolate cake with my favorite filling. She made my childhood memory come true. She was was very nice and understood what i wanted. I highly advice you checking her bakery for any events you may have.

Old Towne Danville Bakery created a stunning wedding cake for my son's wedding. And the cake was not just beautiful; it was absolutely delicious! The bride shared a photo of a cake she liked and they made it happen in real life. They have a great way of tasting their many cake and filling options - up to 12. I have enjoyed Old Towne Danville Bakery's tasty treats in the past and will continue to do so. I highly recommend this bakery!

We and our guests loved our wedding cake! We got the marble cake with chocolate fudge and it was absolutely delicious. We also did vanilla, red velvet and chocolate with dulce de leche cupcakes. That were also good. Karen did a great job bringing our vision to life. She even made a fondant figurine of our dog that was adorable and looked just like her. We loved the cake tasting experience as well. We got try 12 different flavors and fillings and they even provided 2 small bottles of apple cider, which was a very nice touch. It was super easy to fill out the order form and communicate via email and Karen called herself a few days before the wedding to make sure all details were correct. Overall very happy we went with Old Towne Bakery for our special day

We had the pleasure of working with Karen through Wedgewood wedding (Hiddenbrooke Hills April 6 2025)
The cake was everyone’s favorite! Guests were still talking about how delicious it was even a week after the wedding. Karen was absolutely lovely to work with—she exceeded all our expectations. The cake was not only beautiful but incredibly delicious. From our tasting appointment to the day of the wedding, communication with her was excellent. She was always clear, timely, and very transparent throughout the entire process. We couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out.

Have ordered from them twice and both the times the cake was just delicious and just like the design I asked. Beautiful and yummy princess cookies and cupcakes as well. Can't wait to order more in future. The owner is so amazing and gives such a warm welcome everytime that it always makes my day ❤️
