We booked a reservation for 5:45 on a Saturday Night. The Downtown Danville scene was as busy as ever. Upon entering I'm reminded of the previous establishment (Peasant and the Pear). The decor and ambience are beautiful and inviting. Having lived in Danville for 30 years, we're excited to try V+V for the first time. We were seated and immediately noticed that there was only one other group in the restaurant. Concerns started rising as we approach 6p on a Saturday night in Danville, in a nearly empty restaurant. Then things got weirder after waiting more than 20 minutes with no contact. We noticed what looked like the Host/Server standing idle at the Bar; watching the Bartender. As we ask ourselves 'what's going on?', I started scanning reviews. I'm reminded of an important lesson... while an establishment might have an overall good rating, you need to keep an eye out for patterns. We decided to leave before going down the rabbit hole. As we were packing up, the Bartender noticed, and ran over to try to get us something. Though, oddly not offering an apology, explanation, or anything that would pique our interest in staying. I cannot comment on their food/actual dining experience as we never got there. Looking at their eclectic/multi-dimensional menu, I'm curious as to how they actually execute it. Unlikely we would go back to find out.
Ambience was lacking. Family restaurant-definitely not upscale vibe for a late NYE dinner. Service was ok. Food was average for the price.
Perfect for a celebration of any kind. Unique and delightfully-surprising menu and flavors. Fantastic wine selection and cocktails. Everyone who works there is so welcoming and kind. Virtue + Vice is a local gem.
Lovely dining experience! We definitely want to return to try more on the menu. Everything looked so good and our choices for dinner were yummy!
It was a great experience! Even though I think it is one of the best quality food in Danville, but at list the 2 times that we've been there, been pretty empty and quiet.
Great service. Good was good. Servicing sizes were small and felt expensive for the quantity.
Very simply and tastefully decorated restaurant. Very dark inside, lots of ambiance. I'd give the overall food grade a B. The burrata/ bruschetta was fresh and tasty. The Burmese tea leaf salad was not good. Head lettuce ( sliced like for tacos), lots of crunchy stuff (which was great), tea leaves?, and an oil and vinegar dressing . Chicken piccata's flavor great but chicken was a little tough. Fettuccine noodles delicious garlic creamy flavor. Crème brûlée good but the sugar crust was burnt. Lemon olive oil cake was very yummy.
Great menu selections. We had Thai dishes that were excellent. Service provided by Blue Star Moms, excellent from the moment we entered the restaurant. Looking forward to trying more dishes.
This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I were visiting Danville today and stopped by this restaurant for dinner. The menu is delightful & the meal was delicious. This is a family owned business, and the owner spent much time traveling and working in hospitality overseas in a variety of different places,. The menu really highlights his comfort, creativity, and expertise in different cuisines. There were so many unique items to choose from, and one of the things I loved was that they had many gluten-free options clearly labeled on the menu. I highly recommend checking it out!
Came on a fundraising night. So nice to dine and support a good cause. Good sized portions and friendly staff.

Great meal and loved that it was a fund raiser for K9 Rescue. A worthwhile event and great time
Spectacular crafted cocktails and side appetizer Guacamole. Homemade crafted desserts lavender crème brûlée and olive oil cake with lemon curd.
Food was good, service was extremely slow.

A great option for brunch. The setting is great; the food very good; and the service excellent.
This is the first time we went for Brunch and will not be our last. The service and food was exceptional and a must to try if you haven't before.
