The dishes were tasty. Felt like the kababs were from a different recipe than that available in other Iranian restaurant but they were good

I had a wonderful experience dining at Zalla House, an Afghan restaurant in San Ramon. We ordered a variety of dishes including the chapli kabab, chicken koobideh, aush, mantu, and potato bolani—and everything was excellent. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Each dish had its own unique taste and was beautifully prepared.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were courteous, warm, and genuinely hospitable, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated, offering a comfortable and pleasant dining environment.

I highly recommend Zalla House if you're looking to explore authentic Afghan cuisine. The chapli kabab and mantu were personal favorites, but everything we tried was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

They don’t have chutney which is ridiculous for a kabab spot. When we asked for it, they were arrogant about it.

Kabobs were amazing! A little more care could be put into the environment and food presentation but otherwise a great experience. 👍

This is hands down the best Afghan/Middle eastern restaurant in bay area. It is a hidden gem with delicious cuisine that leaves you asking why you haven’t been there sooner. The owner was super sweet and made our first time special.

We ordered the Combination platter - the Hummus & Yogurt were very sour and way too fermented; on bringing to their notice - she took the feedback back to the kitchen and they refused to accept it saying its the lime juice.

We make yogurt at - we know what an extremely shelved yogurt tastes like. Also, we have had food at other Afghan places - the food quality was way below par.

Looks like they don’t get many people - so shelved food comes out of the fridge. They shoulda atleast accepted the part that the food wasn’t good and take it back but insisted they are fine. Going with the family and having spent $165 seemed like a waste.

Portions are good, but quality of ingtidients is not. Got inflamation after this food, it seems like they use cheap oil (Palm oil).
