Spent $40 on a glass of beer and an order of fish and chips the server said I must have. Well, it was two small pieces of fish and some mediocre fries. I asked to see the events manager on behalf of a musician friend whose offer to play music there had not been responded to for quite some time. The server said musicians should inquire online. Another server added, “ a lot of musicians want to play here.” So no manager would come to the table to say a quick hello, even though I told the server I was eating there partly because I would like to get an update on my musician friend’s inquiry. When I paid the bill and requested a receipt, my server said she would get it right away for me. Well, she totally forgot about it because when I went inside and saw her, she didn’t know why I approached her. I heard no apologies whatsoever. I wish there were a way to reduce the tips I had given them.

This place is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The owner, bartenders, and entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially as visitors from out of town.
The food was fantastic, the hospitality was second to none, and the live music created an unforgettable atmosphere. It honestly felt like we had stepped onto the set of a Hallmark movie—warm, welcoming, and full of genuine community spirit.

I can’t speak for the rooms, but we stopped at the restaurant while passing through the area (We are visiting from Colorado). We were so impressed by the kind staff, amazing food, and phenomenal service! We ordered our food and there was a mishap in the kitchen with our pizza so it took a little longer to come out. They took it off our bill because it was late. They didn’t have to do this, but they chose to because they have amazing customer service. Thank you so much!
Wanted to also add that the burger, fish and chips, and pizza were all very delicious 🤤

I had high hopes for this place after seeing the menu updates, but overall the food was a 3/5 at best. The poor service knocked the review to a 2/5. Overall everything was lacking in proper seasoning. The best thing we had was the little gem salad. The beans had no seasoning which was quite disappointing. Even with the added table salt and pepper they were lacking. The clams came with almost no sauce rendering the spoon they came with useless, and they tasted as if salt was dumped on top. It was overall a disappointing meal and we left about half behind. Regarding the service we had to ask for everything water, napkins, silverware, etc. If they adjusted the seasoning maybe we would be back. It has the possibility of being good, it’s just not there.

We stayed at The Davenport Roadhouse for two nights and throughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. The room was spacious and cozy, and the bed was just perfect! We even had fresh flowers in little vases which we thought was such a special touch. Each morning we enjoyed our pour over coffee on the balcony while overlooking the beautiful view of the Pacific. We enjoyed many of the menu items. The Summer Corn and Cheesy Grits, Fish and Chips, Buttermilk Biscuits with honey butter, Crunchy Gem Salad and the chocolate chip cookies were some of our favorites. We would recommend the food and the overnight stay to anyone.

Restaurant menu changed for the worse. Service has definitely NOT improved!! Been here a few times and it just continues to get worse!! We wont be coming back!! I would have preferred to save $150 and just eat a protein bar!! So, I originally wrote this review while I was eating my mediocre meal. The incredibly incompetent service got worse shortly after. Our complete order including dessert was placed at the beginning using their qrc code at the table as they have arranged. A good hour after placing the order, we were finished eating and waiting for our dessert. Time went by, we reminded our server of our dessert order. Another 20 plus minutes goes by and we again remind this time server #2 (possibly an expediter) of our dessert order which, includes ice cream BTW. This is now about 45 minutes on top of the previous hour, total time 1:45 minutes. About 15 minutes later seever #2 comes out and asks if we ordered the skillet cookie which we did not. We ordered a different dessert with ice cream. At this time she tells us they are out of ice cream. I asked how long have you been out of ice cream which she replies with two days. Are you fricken kidding me, Wait almost an hour for damn dessert they've they've been out of for 2 days which, by the way didn't dawn on them with the two previous reminders 45 minutes before that!! Complete incompetence. I grew up in the restaurant business for more than 30 years. This place is insanely incompetent!!
