The food isnt authentic mexican food and the salsa has a toilet-water taste to it. ‍ The beer is good though!

I Love, love, love this place! I love the menu options that el patio has. I mean davis has a small downtown area but they couldn't have chosen a better location. It is right across philz coffee and raising canes! My go to is surf and turf burrito! it is the best of both worlds. I love that they offer fresh chips and salsa, i mean what mexican restaurant in davis doesn't at this point. There is also surf and turf fries but i think i prefer the burrito version. I love that they are generous with their meat servings. I love how each bite equal parts, protein, carb and sauce! The chiliaquiles is also tasty. I think you can add chicken and I asked if I could add carne asada and they were able to accomodate that. can't go wrong with rice and beans tho! If you see a long line, scan the qr code and order online, I'm sure you will get your food much faster. There are plenty of seating options. you order first and sit wherever. No

Burnt the fires to cardboard metal fork couldn't even go through the food. Manager never called back so I came into the store and they won't give a refund for their horrible food. If you want to waste your money and not get it back for the over priced food go ahead. The floors are constantly covered in food because they don't keep it clean. Who would want credit to a place that makes inedible food that a puppy wouldnt even eat. should close this location so it doesn't ruin the woodland one's name.

Great spot! Cheap, willing to make modifications if you ask (ex. I ask for things without meat), and they have a student discount. My default place for when I want a nice hot quesadilla.

Food is ok. Ordered shrimp burrito and I'm more than half way through and only had 2 small shrimps. I don't think I'll order the shrimp burrito again as it was mostly just rice. Was a bit salty as well. You order first, then grab a seat. There's a salsa bar. Staff was ok not super friendly but not rude either. If you're a UCD student, they offer 10% off with ID. There's a few tables so it wasn't hard to find a seat. I've had better but this place was convenient while I was in town.

Ordered today for lunch and was so disappointed.. ordered a burrito without onions and it was full of onions and I had to throw it away. Quesadilla was good... and the carnita loaded fries was good. Service was quick and we ate at home.

There was a nice walking area outside with many shops nearby. The inside was pretty standard but was very clean. They had a complimentary chips and salsa bar which was a great appetizer. Everything pictured fed 3 people comfortably and was affordable when we all split it. El Patio Fries 3.5/5 You have to have these immediately otherwise the fries get stale really fast. I loved the flavors and dressings on the fries and am glad I tried it. Would I get it again? No. Did I enjoy eating it? Sure! Quesabirria Taco 5/5 The BEST birria tacos I've ever had! Gooey cheese and perfect "dip" to compliment the slight crunch of the taco. The meat oozed in flavor and went perfectly with the lime juice I squeezed on. Absolutely amazing dish and I would come back to Davis just for this. Please get this when you go, you won't regret it!

One of my friends loves this place. This is a perfect spot for Mexican food in Downtown Davis, especially for groups because it isn't table service, you order and pick a seat anywhere. For groups this is easy so you don't have to split checks or worry about others orders and you can sit wherever you want. Our group of friends came here after the Davis Turkey Trot so we were ready to eat after running half a marathon. I got the quesabirria tacos that came with the consume sauce and they were so hearty and good! My brother got a steak burrito, and tons of people got the surf and turf fries and burritos. They sell beer and have a wide variety of food. Chips and salsa were great and we all were very happy with our food and service. Parking can be quite difficult in downtown Davis and their bathroom wasn't in service while we were here, we all had to go to Philz across the street. But I would highly recommend this spot if you're craving Mexican food while in downtown Davis.

El Patio is SO good! I highly recommend both their nachos and their birria. It's at a nice location because downtown is always great. Service was pretty normal. I recommend!

Food is fresh, delicious, and it definitely has that mexican touch that makes it that much better. Must try!

Came in at 9:30 pm, server Carmen gave us a nasty attitude when we ordered like we weren't paying customers. No friendly greeting, no thank you, and overall definitely no hospitality. She wanted to dip. No tip for you. Got their street taco plate... they charge you extra PER TACO for the meat that you choose on top of the plate price itself. (Extra 40 cents each taco and there were three tacos, plate was originally $10 -- whole order came out to $12) And they weren't even that good, steak was dry and not seasoned well. Too salty and at the same time, had no flavor. Good portion of meat, but toppings were bland. No guac, no salsa, no sour cream, just lime and onions. They put no care into their food during late hours, even when that's when they are booming in business.

Good, inexpensive Mexican food particularly good a chain restaurant.
