Pretty authentic flavors. We were a big party of 13 and at the end they gave the remaining 5 of us free soup. Fried rice is nice texture, pretty decent spicy dishes here. Coming from the bay, it's average food for the price of around $16/dish.Also, if you like walnut shrimp, it's good here.

Food is good but don't try to order takeout during busy hours or they'll blow past your ETA by a full hour.

The owner offered special discount for the guests next to us because they are influencer. Didn’t give the same discount to us.

Good taste and portion. Served our food extremely fast knowing our kids are hungry.

Let me start by saying that I love almost all Chinese food. It was my first time in this place. The service was fast, though for people who don't speak Chinese, it was difficult to communicate with the staff. As for the Food, I loved the Eggplant and String Beans dish. The rest was very disappointing. The Hot and Sour soup was just ok. Two other beef dishes were very disappointing and had almost no flavor. We ate off of plastic plates, disposable water cups, and the chairs were meant for kids or very, very slim people. I felt like I was at a picnic. I would only back to pick up that one dish of Eggplant and Green Beans.

This restaurant is hit and miss. At times, you get good food but at times you don't. At times you get good service but sometimes you don't. The service and ambience are OK. When they are on, it's a good place to eat. When they aren't, it's very average. You just don't know what you're going to get.

Very classic Chinese cuisine!!! Will come back for sure. We ordered mapo tofu, Chili fish, Szechuan Style Twice cooked pork, and mushroom with choy sum. Take out. They were sealed in bags nicely. And I am obsessed with their foods the first time I tried them. Price is a little bit high, about $70. But I will come back next time. Service is a little bit slow. I waited for a while before someone even noticed me and there were not many people. Ambiance is old-style, but clean and bright.

This is an absolutely amazing Chinese option located in Davis. I was actually on my way to another one Google recommended, but past Hunan on on the way. I decided to walk in there instead because I was extremely hungry. I don't regret my decision one bit. Great food served VERY fast, and they gave me a free bowl of ice cream after paying for the meal!

I've been enjoying their dishes since my college days; it's the most authentic food you can find in Davis. They also introducenew menu items every month.

Great food but the service, although not bad, it is quite impersonal. The twice cooked pork was very good!

I am writing this on behalf of my parents. My parents are in their sixties. They came to visit me from China. This restaurant happened to be the first restaurant they stopped by. Thinking that I was too busy to cook or eat, they ordered a take-out for me. After sitting there for half an hour without being helped, a waiter informed them that the dish they ordered was unavailable, but they could pick another one if they wanted. My parents revised their order and waited for another half an hour. Eventually they got the take-out, but it was lukewarm and oily. No apologies at all. Hope this review would help!

The food I ordered was the Hunan special. I expected it to be fantastic because it came highly recommended but it fell flat. First, there was only one waiter taking all of the orders so he had a hard time taking care of all of the take out and sit down orders. Next, when he brought out my soup it was luke warm. That all is not a good sign. The egg roll was piping hot and decent, but the main dish, chicken and spicy veggies, had no distinctive flavor. I could tell that the food was fresh and healthy, but it was not delicious. So, although it did not meet my expectations, I would definitely go back if I am dying to hacmve Chinese food and there are no other options.
