iTea is a strange case. It's my favorite boba place in Davis, but almost everything they serve is bad. Except the Winter Melon Boba Milk Tea. And I don't care because that is the best Boba drink to me, anywhere, period.
iTea is a very popular boba/quick-service restaurant, and its frequented by many college students, being just outside of the UC Davis Campus. It's often pretty packed inside, with people making use of the space to study. Their drinks are fine, but pretty expensive compared to many other places, and their food is also just fine, but suffers from the same price problem. Orders can be made via in-store kiosks or an app, service was fast and staff were friendly. I ordered the taro milk tea with boba ($5.50) for take-out and this is one of my favorite versions of the drink that I tried. The vivid purple color, strong flavor with blended bits of taro, and the chewy boba all looked and tasted exactly as I hoped.I see why iTea remains a popular spot for boba and snacks (like their popcorn chicken - which I plan to try another time).
