I decided to pop by on a Monday afternoon because I was in the area and got some red velvet cupcakes. They have regular sized cupcakes as well as mini ones and I got both. The regular sized one was $3.75 and the mini ones are $1.50. After trying the cupcake, I will have to admit that I felt a bit underwhelmed overall. Flavor wise, I think it was pretty good. Their frosting isn't overly sweet and there is a lightness to it which seems unique because typically cream cheese frosting on red velvet cakes are quite thick. The cake itself had a notable chocolate flavor but it was a tad bit on the dry side. Although the cupcake wasn't bad, I don't think it is anything I can rave about so if you're in the area and you're craving a little sweet treat then perhaps give them a try.

We couldn't have had a better experience with Let Them Eat Cake--we absolutely loved our wedding cake in October 2023! Alyssa is such a kind soul and took the time to listen to our vision. She definitely made our dream a reality and was even able to make our cakes gluten free! I highly recommend the little miss sunshine flavor. Plus, we had so much fun doing the wedding cake tasting here.

The gluten free chocolate raspberry cupcake I got from here is legitimately top tier. The icing actually tastes like raspberry, and the cake itself was delicious and moist. The size of it was perfect, and the price was reasonable, especially compared to many other places that sell gf items.The service was really good, the cashier kindly offered to defrost it for me since the gf cupcakes are in a freezer in back. She was also just friendly in general and had great vibes.The place itself is absolutely adorable. Great colors and decor.Highly recommended. Thanks for the great experience.

Alyssa made our wedding cake and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! Not only was she able to make the three flavors fully gluten-free but she also incorporated all the details we wanted, like our little dog taking a bite out of the cake.

Went in for a treat and the young woman working sighed and seemed rather annoyed. She had no other customers. I chose a cupcake and asked for one with a little more caramel in it. I asked nicely with a smile and a please and got rolled eyes and “they all have caramel”. So I left. Won’t be back. Too many places in Davys where people are nice.

Okay, typically not one to make a bad review. Especially when it is my first time there. At $4 a cupcake I kinda would expect it to taste good, moist, and to have decent service. I got a pretty dry cupcake (I am not convinced it wasn't made the day before) that really just tasted like sugar. It took 8 minutes to make one hot chocolate, we were the only people in there. While I was waiting for my drink, I had my CLOSED box of THEIR cupcakes on one of the tables in the place. A table that looked like every table in there, with chairs. You'd think maybe a table to sit down and eat if you're eating in. Apparently not, because as the barista brings over our drink, she rudely says "don't put your food on that table that's for tasting". No sign on the table, nothing different about it from the other tables, I'm not even eating my food nor do I have it open. I get that its 10am, but if you're gonna lowkey be a bitch to your first customers, maybe don't work in food service.

Ordered assorted pies for thanksgiving and they were all heavenly!! The pumpkin cheesecake made everyone’s eyes roll back in their heads and the crust on the apple pie was the best I’ve ever had. So delicious.
Very happy with my custom cake and some cupcakes I added on! I really feel like the price matched the quality for my experience. I got a custom 6" cake for ten people and simply asked for bees and honey drips made from frosting. I left the rest to them and they delivered a very cute cake! I added my own cake topper and candles and it was perfect for the event. The 6" definitely fed all 10 of us, plus we had almost half a cake for the next day. Loved that! The birthday boy loves peanut butter and chocolate more than anything so we got the "Love at First Bite" and wow!!! It was so moist and SO delicious. Cut really beautifully, too! I also added on 6 cupcakes for post turkey trot 5k snacks for my friends and I. Dubliner, Rosie, and Johnny Appleseed were soooo good! Corn off the cob was fun to try and unique, but not my cup of tea. Lol! Overall, a truly wonderful bakery with excellent customer service!

Loved getting cupcakes for birthdays from here when I lived in Davis. They have so many unique flavors but not all are offered year round. I really liked the dubliner and blueberry cheesecake cupcakes. Only caveat is their cupcakes are on the pricier end but I def enjoyed getting them once in a while and I liked supporting this local Davis bakery!
