I bought a burrito and it was terrible. I asked for only beans, cheese, and rice. They added a ton of spice to it. It was for my younger brother and it was inedible.

First time in after seeing their ad is Davis Living Magazine. The atmosphere and decor is nice, you can tell they put some major effort into it. I had the crunchy carnitas taco combo plate and the wife had a carnitas chimichanga.
Food came out quickly, was fairly priced and had a bit of a gourmet flair to it. I love the tortillas used for the taco shells. Salsas were good and plating was nice. While we had plenty to eat, neither one of us felt overstuffed.
Will definitely be back again. Oh, and they have plenty of beer on draught as well has hand crafted cocktails!

Where Maya's excels is presentation. This food looks great.
As for flavor, it's fine. It's not especially flavorful or spicy. I think just adding some salt will greatly improve these, and we can talk other spices once that is done.
The value is ok. Comparing burritos, Maya's ($14) is more expensive than Chipotle ($10 chicken) and Taqueria Guadelajara ($9), and the same as El Burrito ($14). I think they are all about the same size.

Not very authentic, the food was disappointing and the vibes were off as well. Maybe it's a good spot to go drinking as the cocktails looked fun but we didn't try any. Music was quite loud for lunchtime

I make MX food at home that is way more authentic. The birria was heavily salted stewed meat, zero birria flavor. My kids didn't eat their burritos, said they were gross.

They messed up my burrito, their veggie burrito isn’t vegetarian, paid 6$ for a piece of tres leches cake that smelled funny tasted awful and was really really small, it also had chocolate and there’s someone in my household who has a serious allergy to it which made me frustrated because taking it home could make them very sick. they put avacado on top of my fiancé’s food as a garnish and no warning on the menu which could have been really bad for someone with an allergy, my burrito had an orange slice garnish without warning as well. the music was so loud that i couldn’t hear the cashier, the cashier also picked food up off the ground with her bare hands, didn’t wash them and went to packaging food with no gloves. we ordered a vanilla concha and then 15 minutes later after we had gotten all the rest of our food they told us they had no vanilla so once again we got something chocolate
