My family had the best Experience eating at Mikuni's. This restaurant was recommended by friends. The service was great, staff smiling and welcoming. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was Absolutely Delicious and Big portions! Loved that the SF Niners were being played on the big screens. We will definitely be going back when visiting UC Davis.

I don't eat seafood, but my husband and son do, so we love going to sushi restaurants together. This restaurant has the absolute best vegetarian options. I was so excited to see a variety of vegetarian rolls, where some places we've gone only have a couple. Everything was delicious and tasted wonderful. My husband has tried multiple seafood rolls, and also a couple of their chicken options and has loved all of them. The kids menu is perfect, with a great selection of foods. I also appreciate that the kids food comes out first, so our son can get his food quickly, and we all get a more enjoyable experience. We've gone twice now, so that we could try more of what they have, and have been thoroughly pleased both times.

We enjoyed our meal here. The garlic edamame was tasty and plentiful. Fortunately it arrived quickly, as our sushi order took awhile to arrive. The Tasmania roll was very nice, but the pimp my roll was the best. The server was very nice, even though she was very busy. When we arrived for dinner on a Thursday night we were told there would be a 35 minute wait, but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. The place was packed! My only real complaint is that it is an extremely loud place. Hard to hold a conversation.

I am a sushi fiend. And have been to Japan several times. Let me tell you about Mikuni Davis. Is it Japan NO. With that being said if you are a true sushi eater then you will find extremely fresh fish every time. Well cut fish every time as well! My wife and I are here way too often. ( give me my status already so I can make reservations) Yao is the head chef and just an awesome guy, Ming and Miguel are also super talented sushi chefs. In general even the less experienced sushi chefs are great. If you’re someone who thinks sushi is a roll with a bunch of fried stuff….well there’s plenty for you too. It’s actually a great mix of everything. Highly recommend the freaky edamame cause it’s great. Overall this is my go to spot in the states. When you factor price, consistency, and freshness I don’t think you can beat it.
