Excellent soufflé, salad and truffle pasta. We sat outside and felt like a slice of Tuscany! Our waiter Massimo (like our wine) was attentive and really great. A lovely evening and would highly recommend, especially on a warm summer night

Food definitely not worth the price. Why is a piece of salmon fish that size cost $40?
Appetizers were actually good. Parmigian souffle with peaches was sweet, but worked surprisingly well together and as a savory dish. Clams and mussels were also very good, enough garlic and very balanced wine flavor. Free bread was ehh.
Eggplant fusilli had the pasta cooked to the perfect bite, but really wasn't all that, for $30 is crazy. The pastas did give a lot quantity wise, but the secondi not so much. Dessert was alright.
This ís very much a place older Americans come to sit for 2 hours, drink wine, and feel fancy.

Overpriced for what we got. Food was subpar. The lobster ravioli wasn’t fresh. The veal was overcooked and tasteless. I can cook better at home for less.

This is our FAVORITE restaurant in Davis for special occasions. On early fall evening (end of Sept.), the weather was perfect outside from cocktails through dessert. Three of us had the macadamia nut-encrusted salmon which was fabulous; we've had it before and it was just as enjoyable the second time around. The other member of our party selected the pollo roulade which, I've been told, was equally fabulous. We finished off with an assortment of desserts, one of which was topped by a birthday candle for a very special member of our dinner group who was celebrating her 75th birthday and enjoyed every minute of a very enjoyable and relaxed evening.
I've been visiting Osteria Fasulo for abouit 20 years. I have taken numerous friends and family for lunches and dinners. Leonardo Fasulo, his sons and other employees are the best. Trisha, my favorite, has been a friend and a joyful presence in this out of the way gem. I live 65 miles from this place and my only regret is that I can't pop in more often. If you're looking for ostentatious surroundings and glamor, you might be disappointed until you eat the food and enjoy some of the best Italian food West of Italy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Osteria Fasulo! The Parmesan soufflé with tiny diced peaches was exquisite. The olive oil, parsley, garlic and shallot spread for the bread was also incredible. The greens in our mixed salad tasted so fresh, each leaf had its own flavor. And the Parmesan bowl it arrived in was delicious! My husband loved his roasted duck entree and my pistachio crusted salmon was way above the ordinary. Thomas was a kind, efficient and fun server. We can't wait to go back!
Best restaurant in Davis hands down! I have grown up in Davis and got to experience Osteria Fasulo for the first time last night. Each dish was incredible and masterfully executed.

What an incredible hidden gem! Really outstanding italian food, and kind staff. I had homemade corn agniollotti and a parmesan soufflee that knocked my socks off. I highly recommend!!
Osteria Fasulo never disappoints! The parmigiana souffle was wonderful, as was the insulate di fungi. Of our mains the "pork chop" (really a pork tomahawk, wonderfully roasted) was amazing. Great atmosphere, great wine, made for a nice evening. Not inexpensive though!

Excellent food, wonderful location. Two of us had the pistachio crusted salmon which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The Il Pollo (chicken) was excellent - tender and delicious. The Agnolotti al Mais (corn filled pasta) was great - sauce was delicious. We ate outside so the noise level was not an issue. It was very comfortable on a day where the high in Davis was 99. We started at 7:00.
What a little gem in Davis! Great service and the food was amazing. That pork chop was drool worthy. Got the avocado orange salad and it was good but the price was really high, didn't make sense for what you got. Otherwise perfect date night location ??
To say that this is the best fine dining in Davis is to understate the place, since there is not much competition these days. The outdoor seating, in the middle of the village homes residential development, might strike one as odd at first, but on a late summer night it felt like a quality European dining experience. Fasulo has always been on the expensive side (for Davis) but you feel like you get your money's worth. Over the last 5 years, prices in other places have risen to levels comparable to here and that makes Fasulo that much more of an attraction. The selection is interesting, plenty of options for vegetarians, etc., and the food is high quality.
We were able to enjoy our tasty food on the patio with our wonderful little dog, Maggie. The food was great and the ambience was quite nice as it wasn't too hot and we enjoyed sitting outside. Our waitstaff person was friendly, helpful and efficient. The only problem was that an entree that we ordered was sold out d/t a large party ordering it. However, a substitute was recommended and the price comped for us so it worked out well. We always enjoy Osteria Fasulo and recommend it highly.
Still may absolute favorite restaurant - hands down. Every time we are near Davis the drive brings us to the Osteria. I was 40 miles away in Auburn for a silversmithing class with a friend and had to bring to an Osteria occasion.
