I had high hopes, and the place looked good, but we still had a mediocre experience. We were slow deciding so the person at the register suggested we move to the back of the line, so we waited a bit longer. Not a problem. After we waited for our coffee and pastries the cashier apologized that they had sold out of what my wife wanted to the person before us. She picked something else.and we paid for the extra dollar of.cost. We asked for both pastries toasted and they were not warm. My wife did not like her pastry, mine was good but small. My wife's mocha was good, my Gingersnap had spices too strong so it was difficult to drink hot. The barrista was nice and changed part of my drink for coffee and milk.

No disrespect when I say this, but can you guys please re-train Danna on how to make drinks? The past 4–5 drinks I’ve had at this Philz tasted like bitter coffee water. When I order, sometimes I lowkey pray she doesn’t pick up my order because I know it won’t taste the same.

This is one of the biggest Philz I’ve ever been in. I’ve been in four different locations, and this one could be my favorite. Although I was visiting from out of town, I would definitely make this a regular stop for my caffeine addiction. If you have the app, I would suggest ordering ahead then just go in and have a seat and wait till your order is called. They have a small amount of cups for sale, I was hoping they would have some shirts. They did have one dad hat, but it wasn’t my style. There was lots of tables and people working on their laptops and enjoying a cup of Joe.

Philz coffee is amazing. My favorite thing to order is usually a seasonal drink. The Banana Caramel Brew is to die for! Sooooo good! Do be mindful that the coffee at Philz is only drip coffee or cold brew. There is no espresso here so if you’re wanting a strong cup of coffee, you may be out of luck. I would also like to add that the seating is hard to come by. This is a popular spot for students to study and often times one person will take up a larger space. I wished they had smaller tables for students who would like to study so that I am able to easily find a spot to sit with my 2 kids.

Ok so I messed up bad because I’ve lived in Davis for years and today was the first time I’ve gotten coffee at Philz. I walked in filthy after working across the street and the employees were very friendly and the service was excellent. I ordered two coffees because I wasn’t sure about the mint mojito, usually if I have coffee right after brushing my teeth I regret it and instead I feel like I should’ve gotten two mojitos. I don’t know what they put in this thing but my cup is empty and I’m too embarrassed to go back in and ask Bella (I think that was their name) for another. So delicious but not syrupy or overly sweet. The mint is muddled but not torn to bits and leaving you picking it from your teeth, which I appreciate. The pastries are some of the best in town for sure as well, I got a couple of blueberry flakey goodies and if is a bite left at all for my partner when I get home it will be a miracle. 10/10 will be back ver ver soon.
Horrible store. The manager is so rude and the coffee is overpriced for pour over. Take your business to a local shop with real quality and values.

I usually love philz but today someone took our order and was just so rude. It was literally this morning around 9:30 and our order was taken by a girl with short hair. They cut us off, seemed to be in a rush to take our order despite no one behind us, and was just really short in general. My friend would have asked questions but tbh the barista did not seem like they wanted to be there.
