Seasons have drastically changed their menu, offering a mystery 3 course prix fix. You won't know what you're getting until they serve you. This was a problem for me with food allergies. They did substitute some items, but I feel there was some cross contamination as I was ill afterwards. The kitchen seemed chaotic and slow, plus one of the servers complained loudly about this to their fellow servers, ruining the ambience for us. The food ranged from ok to tasty. I hope they return to their previous non mysterious delicious food.

Enjoyed a business dinner on August 15, 2024 at Seasons in Davis. I have not been there in a while and immediately noticed the reduced menu of about 4 entrees, 4 premium sandwiches and numerous apps. The good news is that the restaurant still has the outstanding chef that was there during my last visit. We shared a delicious cantaloupe and feta cheese app, which was delicious. We the both ordered the surf and turf that was different from the usual. This was a long cooked lamb rib (Dixon, CA) and lobster tail combo that was exquisite. The meat literally fell off the bone and was absolutely delicious, and the lobster tail was done to perfection. The wine selection was good and affordable and the drink selections were varied and good. The sorbet and chocolate mousse were out of the ordinary and divine. Prices were higher than I recall but not out of the ordinary for quality food in these days of inflation and generally higher food prices. Overall, I recommend Seasons.

We had a lovely experience dining at Seasons. The Tempura Tofu was excellent. My husband had their Kobe Beef Pizza. Our server was particularly helpful and pleasant. I really can't speak to the noise. We were traveling and pulled into Davis early (5ish) (I'm a former Aggie) and few people were in the restaurant at that time. The decor is sparse, and attractive. I would happily return next time we are that way.

We loved that there are farm fresh vegan options on the menu. They rotate specialties and the whole menu often, based upon seasonality and what's growing just a few miles away. Terrific sauces and flavors. Very creative!

We went to Season's for a birthday dinner, it was a lovely experience. We were a group of 5 and we ordered several shared dishes and some main courses. Everything was delicious. We will go again

This is our special dinner go-to place so we eat at Seasons a couple of times a year. Under the current chef, the flavors are simply great... middle-eastern? Not sure exactly but there is a savory combo of spices/herbs on some dishes that are SO good, fresh and unexpected, and a real treat. Congrats to the chef!

Excellent restaurant with an amazing array of dishes inspired by Armenian, Georgian and middle eastern fares. Executive Chef Yekaterina Balagian creates wonderful flavors using many locally derived sources from farms in the area. Thanks to my daughter for introducing restaurant to me on my recent visit to Davis.

The chef Katarina and her fellow cooks done an amazing job. They took and opened taste buds I never knew I had. I will return to eat here even though I live in southeast Texas.

Seasons now features Middle Eastern cuisine which is both fascinating and excellent. Our meal was delicious, and our server Ben was great. We also had a visit from the chef, who genuinely appreciated our sincere compliments. She gave us a dessert of ice cream, olive oil, and a special salt, which was an amazingly delicious combination, perfect after the spices. Highly recommended.

This restaurant offers selections that are not available anywhere else in the region; the Armenian chef constantly updates the menu. Sitting in the outside patio is pleasant even on hot days, and it is more quiet than inside. The service is superb. I would definitely recommend for that special occasion.,

The chef changes the menu depending on what is in season and she does not disappoint. The new mushroom dish was divine. Always love the pickled root veggies and this time we tried the blistered shishito peppers with aioli that were excellent. The dessert - a crumb cake with berries was delicious.

The new chef is doing great things, staff and food and drinks are all excellent. For my fellow cocktail aficionados, you can get a well made stirred cocktail here, maybe the only place in Davis, need I say more?

My overall experience at the Seasons was very pleasant. The servers are one of the nicest bunch you have ever met. It was my birthday there and I brought my own cake; they provided all of the cutlery and candles, and cut it all up for us. I have never gotten that treatment anywhere else. the waiters are kind and always ask for our opinions on the food. The food was great and offered a unique experience in both taste and in ingredients. Would recommend.

Seasons has good food and an attentive staff. But if you value your hearing, stay away. The noise level is unbearable: when I ate dinner there recently I came away with a faint ringing in my ears. It is a shame that so few restaurants take seriously the adverse health effects of excessive noise. (I judged it to be about 80 decibels.) So many, including Seasons, have concrete floors, walls, ceilings with nothing to absorb the sound, some adding music to this cacophony. Since so many people either suffer from tinnitus or are hearing impaired, one wonders why this trend has continued. Can it be that many restaurants don't care about their customers' health--much the less the fact that many people enjoy conversation?I hope Seasons will take steps to resolve this problem and ensure that the atmosphere is on the same high level as their food and their service.

Since August 2023, Seasons has been under the helm of a new chef. If you look at recent reviews, you will see that there are those who preferred the old Seasons under Chef Shideler (modern American cuisine) and those who prefer Chef Balagian, who has pivoted to a “Middle Eastern-inspired California cuisine”. Personally, I love the new reincarnation of Seasons and think it has become one of the better upscale restaurants in town.I would note though that the restaurant’s description is not exactly accurate as the chef also serves some Italian-inspired dishes that probably tap into her experience at the high-end Italian restaurant, Allora (Sacramento). In addition, some Moroccan and Georgian (the country not the state) dishes make appearances as well.We ate a variety of dishes, but the lamb muhammara app was the stand-out - the muhammara was rich and tangy, the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth soft, even the little side of arugula was fresh and well dressed. The dish is not cheap ($28), but the appetizer is big enough for several people to share. The batata harra (Lebanese spicy potatoes) mezze was also very good - like spicy, herby home fries. For entrees, we ordered the branzino (gigantic, charred in a good way, moist, delicious), the goat tagine (not served in a tagine, but super rich with many layers of flavors) and a vegan pizza (a special being served for a local competition - really delicious crust with an interesting combination of mushrooms, eggplants, onions). I would just caution diners with the portions of some of the dishes as some of them are really generous in size (e.g. branzino, muhammara).I think the wine list has also improved which is nice to see, but it’s even better that their markups continue to remain reasonable - it’s hard to find places that sell wine for 2x retail these days. I also appreciate that the chef is also taking the opportunity to showcase her Armenian heritage by including an Armenian beer and a wine on the list as well. My only complaint here is that they should add vintage information to all the wines and avoid typos - just a pet peeve of mine, but it’s also bad optics. The decor remains the same - airy, modern, open-kitchen, pleasant. Technically, it’s on the first floor of the Hilton Garden Inn, but you would never know it. Unfortunately, just like the old Seasons, the outdoor seating faces a parking lot and G street. I think something like bamboo blinds and maybe some hanging pots with plants…or frankly anything…would really improve the ambiance of the patio, but that’s just me.Personally, I think that Seasons has vastly improved under Chef Balagian - hopefully, she will continue to make the dining experience even better.PS Hey - Hilton. Update your website and show Chef Balagian some respect by updating the Hilton Garden Inn Davis website. It’s been 10 months.
