Went here for my friend’s 21st birthday and they said my ID was fake. They were flexing it to make sure it was real but bent it permanently in the process and took it from me. Was with a huge group of people and they kicked them all out because of my (completely real) ID. Literally had to call the police to come and look at it for them to give it back to me. Don’t come here if you aren’t from California they’re gonna make a big deal and it’s not worth it.

my favorite bar in davis! the theming is so cool and fun and makes it a great spot to grab a drink. the drinks are always excellent (Thursday mojito pitcher nights are the best!) and the bartenders are always friendly.

This bar will sell you as many $15 cocktails as you want and gladly accept all your tips, but once you’re drunk and need to pee two minutes before closing, the power-tripping manager will bang on the bathroom door screaming “BAR IS CLOSED” while you’re mid-piss.

This bar is so cool!! The atmosphere and decorations are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Drinks were delicious, the 1944 Mai tai was strong and soooo good. Sixth from the sun was another favorite drink. We got oysters and the steak skewers for apps - ended up getting 2 rounds because they went fast!! 12/10 service, even the owner Nate came up to our table and chatted with us for a while. Will definitely be making this a frequent stop!

I really wanted to love this place. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess pretty quickly. We sat at the bar. The bartender was near us and was working on making drinks for the couple people in line next to us. Never said hi or acknowledge our presence. There were plates left over from the prior people still in front of us. Finally another bartender came over and grabbed the plates, wiped down the area and then walked away and took the drink order of the people that came in after us. We were so mad and left. We went to Jungle Bird. The service and atmosphere was 10 times better. Will never go back to Shipwrecked Tiki Bar.

Spent a short and memorable few minutes in the bar. It was fun. Great atmosphere. Note, the bar menu doesn't list any food. Also, I tried to order a drink not listed on the menu and they couldn't do it.
