I'd really like to rate this place higher. It used to be bomb. Now, when I ask for extra beans, and PAY FOR EXTRA beans, the bean burrito has fewer beans than before. It's pretty much a bean flavored tortilla burrito. Gonna just have to start making my own.

This is the best cheap Mexican eats in Davis. Guads would be a close second, but you can't easily drive to Guads and there is plenty of parking here. Fill up on their delicious chips and salsa as well. Prices are reasonable. It's a busy greasy spoon with loud Spanish language sports channels on a TV in the corner. You know the food is going to be good when the place is always packed with diners. Food is ready pretty quick, I've never had to wait more than about 15 minutes for my family's order to be ready. Be prepared to sometimes wait for a table if it's the lunch rush or dinner rush. If you order the large burrito be prepared--it's pretty big. They do tacos here in sort of the Sonoran style--fried shells, greasy, absolutely delivious.

I drive from West Sacramento for their delicious Menudo. Not to mention the home made corn tortillas prepared on weekends only. Love this taqueria!

I stopped by for a bite and enjoyed some large quesabirrias. I tried one without salsa and it was super crunchy and meaty. I tried a second with green salsa and loved the salsa combo. The third one I tried with salsa and consume, best so far. Then the red salsa, definitely a step up from green and lovin it. The fifth one was the spiciest with the vinegar veggies and a habanero salsa. It was packed so the atmosphere was meh, the service was good though with nice staff.

We ordered a dinner plate with marinated chicken, as authentic as it gets. The pico de gallo is top notch! The tortillas were served in a warmer, they were so good! The agua fresco was great as well!

I have been coming here for years now and this is my favorite Mexican joint in town.
The food quality is always great and consistent. They have a chips and salsa bar which is amazing and never seems to disappoint me.
The staff is welcoming and friendly, which is a plus. Rudy, the GM is very polite and always greeting people.
