This place needs some inspiration from a vegan chef. Most vegan sandwich substitutions consisted of hummus, and all sandwiches were under seasoned. The cucumber sandwiches were dry, had almost no cucumber and very little cream cheese. The baked cake components of the sweets were dry. The chocolate petit four and mousse were nice as was the cheese plate. Overall, not worth the price tag even though the staff was friendly and the teas were good.
What a lovely small little place to have afternoon tea with friends and/or family. I always selected High Tea Service. The food was excellent and so was the service. Loved the scone with fresh homemade Devonshire cream and berry jam. I’ve been here many times and still want to come back again and again. The price is very reasonable. I’ve been to many high tea places and so far this one is the cheapest and with excellent food. Free 2 hours parking on the street. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely time here for afternoon tea. The tea selection is great. The scones were amazing. The sandwiches were on point specially the chicken salad. I would go back just for those two items. It was a great treat. It’s tucked away which I enjoyed because it felt like we were no longer in Davis.
Do not come here on a holiday. Smaller portions for the same price. We came for Easter and 2 whole courses were missing. The entire table was disappointed in the amount of food. We also didn’t receive our free take home tea kit which was emphasized prior to us arriving. Ended up driving through McDonald’s on the way home. We spent about $200 on this meal by the way. The table behind us kept tossing the f bomb and talking loudly to the point we just wrapped up lunch quickly and left. For the price and location, this place is WAY TOO overpriced.
My friend took me to Tea List in Davis for the first time, and I was really impressed. They have a great selection of teas, and everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented. We got the Vegan Afternoon Tea and also shared the Mediterranean Platter. The place has a cozy feel with a cute garden patio. You do need a reservation, even on a weekday. We went on a Thursday and it was already fully booked. I’m really glad I got to try it and would definitely go again.
Tucked down an alleyway by the zen salon is a Charming and pleasant tea room with polite and friendly staff. The teas were brewed perfectly in beautiful porcelain tea pots and matching tea cups. Don’t eat before you go because the food you can get as part of the whole experience is definitely worth it. The finger foods are delightful, the deserts blend well with the teas and each one is savory. I highly recommend the lemon scones and egg salad curry sandwiches . The scones come with a grape preserve and the smoothest cream I have ever had. The only drawback of this tea room is that the location is tucked so you have to pay attention to the alley and look for zen salon. The bathroom is a little of a walk from the tea room and if you go during spring, bring a fan as they keep the door open and bugs can come in. You can also sit outside if you prefer. Overall it was a lovely experience and the food and staff really made it worthwhile.
Interesting and unique!
We sat outside and it was so cute. Staff was friendly and inviting. Nice tea selection and food was delicious! Can't wait to go again!
Wonderful Tea experience
What a treat?! Four of us got the vegan queen’s tea and it was delightful! Two pots of tea…one at the start and one at the end. A small salad and scone to start, then stuffed mushrooms, a charcuterie board full of goodies, then a tower of tea sandwiches and desserts…ALL VEGAN! We did not go home hungry and some even took food to go. Service was friendly and timely. Make sure to specify vegan when making your reservation. The place was full…would not try to go without reservations. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-07

I took my wife here for a cute date. We made a reservation. They sat us right in front of the doorway (and when I say right in front, I mean I was bumped into multiple times throughout our stay). Our conversation was drowned out by the very loud electric hum of some ventilation on the adjacent business and was honestly giving me a headache.
It was a half hour before we saw our first pot of tea. Meanwhile, not one, but three other tables were getting their 2nd rounds. They forgot, I know this because three separate employees apologized (I want to make clear I'm not upset at the individual employees, I get it). When our snack tray arrived, it nearly toppled over because the metal bar holding the layered plates was loose. Upon biting the white bread on the sandwiches, we noticed it was all stale. The wheat was not, at least (we still finished our food because we don't waste).
I knew the price of this place before going, but the quality is not represented in this business. I'm not upset at service staff, but the management is highly lacking. If you are charging those prices, simple quality control is expected.
Not chill. The staff are Karen's
Tea List - It is not listed on their website or menu, but by advance request they will do a vegan High Tea. The food was delicious, there is a nice selection of caffeinated, decaf, and herbal teas with oat or almond milk as creamer. The sweets when we were there included blueberry scones, chocolate cheesecake, walnut brownies and fruit. The sandwich fillings included grilled mushrooms, hummus, cream cheese, squash, artichoke hearts. It was creative and lovely service. There is a $5 add on per person to their listed prices for vegan service. There are a few tables indoors and a few outdoors with heater. A nice treat and place to relax with friends. It was cozy inside in winter but a bit noisy with 3 parties. Would be quieter outside.
Great atmosphere, service and food. Fun teas
Cute little place
The service was amazing
They could do a little more decorating to the place to make it look more like a tea place!
Other than that, everything else was excellent ?
