Gunrock is a solid place to eat with a casual and fun ambiance. There are games available making it a fun place to hangout. The workers were kind as well. Personally, the meat in the Quesabirria Tacos was too dry for my taste, but other than that, the flavor was really good!

The Gunrock is a little bit on the pricey end, but so are most of the good food truck/Silo food options on campus. If you're craving some game day style food, this is the place. The beers on tap are solid and everyone working there is really friendly. The sandwiches and tri tip garlic fries are great as well. Most of their entrees can be two servings if you're not crazy hungry at lunch. Will definitely be eating here more.

One of two spots my advisor and I would frequent for our weekly early afternoon lunches. Our timing meant we'd miss the official lunch service, but the restaurant allows orders from the happy hour and regular menu at the bar. You're given a number after ordering and food is brought table side when it's ready. I started ordering the fish and chips, subbing the vegetable of the day for chips, and it makes for a hearty, slightly healthy, and affordable meal ($9 on the happy hour menu as of spring quarter 2019). Salads are fresh, but very light fare and one of the pricier menu options. Friendly service, food served quickly given the off hours of our meals. A nice sit-down option on campus.

Really all I can say about this place is, "eh..." The chips they served us with our food were stale and saturated with oil (worst part of the meal). My burger was okay. As an okay burger it was overpriced. I wouldn't eat here again... at least, not if I'm the one paying for it.

The garlic fries were very good. A lowkey place on campus to get a good bite to eat and even a beer if you want. I don't understand why one cant use aggiecash for alcohol here. But, I would highly recommend to anyone on campus

If you're trying to class it up a bit when eating on the UCD campus, The Gunrock has a sit down restaurant with burgers, pasta, fish, etc I tried the $10 for 3 sides and it was delicious. - mashed potatoes are great - sweet potato fries are amazing - greens were a little lacking but they have other good things Their Salmon was a little small but for the price. It's understandable. I paid with Aggiecash so it dropped the $13 to about $11. That's $11 for salmon and mashed potatoes. If you've ever pealed potatoes, this sounds pretty good.

Had the chicken sandwich and it was super good! The overall simplicity of the place was perfect. The food was also good quality. The workers were very kind and shared their recommendations with us.

Delicious and cheap during happy hour starting 1:30pm, the burger was only 9 dollars but juicy and the tomato relish was delicious. Food came out fast, service was good and personable

Great beers and great service; what else can you ask for? Well, you could also ask for (and receive) lots of good seating options, a nicely designed place, clean restrooms, and the convenience of being smack in the middle of the UC Davis campus! This place is awesome for grabbing a pint with friends after class, or maybe in between classes ;)

I hadn't been to Gunrock since 2014, so I was pleasantly surprised with what they'd done to the place. I had the burger, and it was possibly one of the best burgers I have ever had. A bit pricey, but still will be coming back next time I'm looking for a place with a nicer ambiance than the casual silo options.

This place has a nice atmosphere and look to it, but I would be careful what you order here. I had the calamari, and while I was disappointed by the taste and quality, the real kicker came an hour later when my stomach was doing backflips during lecture. Apparently that calamari came with a complimentary tickets to the toilet rodeo, and believe me, that is not a pleasant experience. I can't be sure if my experience is the exception rather than the rule, but definitely watch out for the seafood.

This place is really nice, the music is appropriately ambient, and the food is flavorful. I've had~ Their potato chips Acorn squash with sauteed greens Salmon dish with veggies Sweet potato fries Mmm, mmm, mmmmm! Grown at the student farm, I believe Russell Ranch. Service is great too. Highly recommend! Great for meetings, bringing the family, or a celebratory meal after a gruesome quarter.

A more upscale place to eat on campus, staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can buy a pound of French fries, as well as a couple other vegan friendly options. I would recommend the avocado tacos which they serve from 1:30-close, as part of their more grab and go menu.
