Hi, I’m sorry to say it was my worst restaurant experience ever. I love Mediterranean cuisine and was very exited to try this restaurant.I ordered their braised chicken and mushroom risotto on the side but they served me burnt broiled chicken With some feather still attached to raw skin around the uncooked thick chicken breast after 1/1/2 waiting !!!!I finished my drink and left my chicken untouched and eat very little of mushroom risotto which had a very unpleasant flavor and smell like urine coming from their strange choice of mushrooms!. (( My apologies to readers.))Any other restaurant would’ve offered me another dish or not charged me for the meal or simply offered me an apology but instead they arrogantly stood by their nasty uncooked chicken and their choice of mushrooms for risotto.I’m sorry to disappoint but I hope this helps the readers who hope to enjoy a delicious Mediterranean cuisine!.

We came here on the last day of restaurant week for lunch. The ambiance was very nice and we had a partial view of the ocean which was good. I had the lamb meatballs which were delicious and very tender. My wife had the hummus and the pita chips were delicious. The burger and grilled cheese for main course were both very tasty. The only thing that let down the meal slightly were that the chocolate torte and the lemon tart tasted like they were bought in rather than made freshly. The chocolate torte was a bit dry and the lemon tart wasn't set. They still had great flavour. Also props to the place not having a stupid restaurant surcharge.Parking: There is a covered parking lot directly behind the restaurant with two hours free for restaurant customers.

Excellent service. Food good. Liked the view of ocean. Bathrooms far so be prepared. Nice experience otherwise. Our server was very attentive to our desires.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere is casual and seating is so nice to be in the patio. We had a very attentive waitress. We had scallop and sea bass entree which were excellent.

Just about everything was perfect. They have a great assortment of dining options. We had the grilled, Spanish octopus, beet salad with salmon, grilled cheese and the octopus ceviche. The octopus was grilled and seasoned to perfection. It was crisp yet juicy. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture. The salmon was flavorful, light and flakey. The ceviche was good. The grilled cheese looked so interesting from the description that I had to try it. I wouldn't order it again, but it wasn't terrible. I think it had a blend of cheeses. Some cheeses have an odd, foul flavor, which you could pick up from bites of their grilled cheese, but some cheeses are just like that. I also had a Black Lava Margarita and a Hoppy Penelope Honey beer; both were excellent! The ambiance was great as well. They offer a spectacular view of the ocean and have heaters on their balcony. Kip was our friendly server. He's informative too. I asked about the local beaches and he advised me where to go. I asked another girt who worked there first, but she acted like she was too cool to go to a beach and had no idea!

The winning factor is the ambience. Lovely balcony with great views. Service was good, friendly and helpful. The food was just okay, nothing special. The octopus ceviche was a bit too tender. The lamb gyro was slightly undercooked. They surely could do much better with the food. Perhaps we're just unlucky that day.

Pricey but eclectic and fun eats. A once in awhile indulgence. We had outstanding service.

Very good, not excellent, flavors were terrific, nice spot to watch the sun set, great service. I'm being picky but for the price I can be, steak was a bit undercooked, asked for medium rare it was quite rare, also a bit tuff but if cooked a bit more that would have helped. Octopus was a touch chewy so a bit overcooked there, but it all tasted great. Pork was terrific. Prices were fair but pricey.

Came here for restaurant week, met the owners. They were lovely people. The problem was the Burger. Ordered it medium and the meat was so pink that it was literally raw. For some reason my sister decided to eat it that way, which made me a bit nervous, but let her decide. Within a few hours she had a very upset stomach and it definitely had gotten to her. The burger needs to be cooked to a safe temperature. It dampened our otherwise nice experience. Will not return unfortunately.

My friend and I tried Beeside Balcony for the first time and enjoyed their Restaurant Week menu. This fun restaurant in Del Mar was inviting with personable staff members and the menu items innovative, but tasty: I had the Beet Salad with Arugula, the Grilled Feta Cheese Sandwich and ended with the Lemon Tart. Amazing! We ate on the balcony, and on what started out as a chilly day, it was totally fine because of the outdoor heaters.

Great location, great service, pleasant stuff. Steak tasted like stew, rather chewy and not much flavor. Hard to chew-perhaps tendons or fatty content. Appetizers are tiny. Other than that pleasant place to sit down for a drink. Maybe just eat somewhere else lol

Solid brunch option with a partial view of the ocean and a dog friendly patio! I was a little confused about whether or not this restaurant was dog friendly since the majority of the seating is outside but some other reviews mentioned being cast away to a side seating area but we were seated in the main area outside. The heat lamps were going on a chilly morning so it was nice to sit and enjoy. Service was attentive and food was delicious! We ordered the steak and eggs and the lamb gyro. Both well seasoned and cooked to the preferred temperature. We also ordered some cocktails that came out promptly and tasted great.
