The avo bagel sandwich was delicious! I also got a vanilla bean latte that was just not really flavorful. I think I should have gotten a regular drip or pour over coffee. My friend’s hot chocolate was also a bit bland.
Mal was the best barista I’ve ever met (no lie). They knew literally everything I could ever want to know about espresso (and I know how to call my shots). The way Mal multi-tasked a poetic lecture to me in between actively serving it, swiping down customer orders and answering my philosophical coffee questions—with undivided attention on both the customers *and* their work on the machine needs to be studied.
