While enjoying drinks and dinner with my wife in the lobby, there was a drunk individual who was escorted out by Devon, the security manager. I was truly impressed by Devon's remarkable composure and professionalism. It is evident that he is exceptional at his job.

Great staff. Checking in was OK but truncated. We could have used some more information. The valet staff was super and saved the day several times. The condo room was in need of repairs and updates. Overall a good experience.

Service on par with any 5-star hotel but with casual coastal charm. Clean rooms but age shows in the infrastructure. Suites are expensive for what they offer, standard rooms provide better value. Was probably once great, now is being carried by a great staff.

We stayed last week for our 20th Anniversary and it was an adorable boutique hotel. The ambiance. The staff. And facilities were all fantastic. The beds were super comfortable, the room style and bathroom were so nice. We really enjoyed the bottle of champagne waiting for us upon arrival!!! I booked a massage and it was AMAZING! Katrina was fantastic and highly recommend her! When I com enact to Del Mar I would definitely stay there again!

Last minute night away with my husband. Ryan went out of his way to make our night special with a complementary upgrade and the BEST customer service we’ve experienced in quite awhile. The hotel is beautifully kept and our room was great.

This is the second time I've brought my mother and sister to L'Auberge and it gets better each time. From massages at the spa to a champagne brunch at Adelaide, there is really no reason to ever leave the resort...other than the beach (via the hotels private path)! The staff here are top notch and were extremely hospitable at every touch point including the Adelaide waiters, front desk, valet and housekeeing. The rooms are gorgeous and it feels like you're almost in a luxurious private estate, with a cozy fireplace and comfortable beds. This place holds such a special place in my heart and we will continue to make this an annual trip for years to come!

We had a wonderful couples massage at the spa L’Auberge. The spa manager Tracy is so accommodating and made our day so relaxing as there was stress scheduling our treatments and the check in was perfect. Our therapists Mary and Christee were very seasoned and professional. As a massage therapist I am e picky. Dana Christ the spa director is an absolute joy, she was the icing on the cake with such warmth and hospitality!! Our afternoon was perfection!! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of us. We’ll be back!

Our stay was enjoyable and I would consider the hotel and staying in Del Mar again. The rooms were very comfortable and I love the mattress. The food in the restaurant was good. There were lots of options around Del Mar to eat. Here are the reasons for 4 stars: 1. Lack of response. From the hotel about billing concerns. I never received the $45 credit as listed in my confirmation and as advertised in the package deal. I contacted the hotel twice about my concerns and asked for a detailed invoice. I have yet to hear back from the hotel. 2. Sometimes Noisy – Not able to sleep in late because of street noise (delivery and trash trucks) – All rooms face a street. The lobby area was very noisy at times and not an enjoyable place to relax when there were tons of people.

Hadia and Angel at the front desk are awesome and very helpful. They did not hesitate to assist when needed. Also, Diego in engineering was great as well. All the Valet attendants were super friendly and efficient. What a great place and great people!

Came here last night for my 30th!! Friend made reservations for the Bar Experiment. Basically they come up with creative, interactive, themed drinks . Ours were based on science experiments. All of them were pretty Much tasty and the bartenders were so cool and kind. I think my favorite was the sunflower infused drink that we had while playing this memory game and listening to music via headphones . See pictures. Fun night !

On the ocean with fabulous views of the Pacific, the property has everything you might want- great sweeping vistas, albeit from a distance, of the Pacific, well maintained and steeped in history, professional service and attentive staff, and of course it's right in the heart of Del Mar on the main drag so you can walk around and check out the beach, the shops and there is valet parking, so if money is no object, stay here- it's not an inexpensive option but if someone else is paying and you want to have a risk free date and a good time,, have them take you here. It's a great place to launch your night if you are attending anything at the racetrack, and if you want to move way "down market" there's nightlife nearby within staggering distance and dancing until the wee hours- this place is quiet and peaceful seclusion surrounded by other options.
