Beautiful, delicious. But ridiculously expensive. We decided to just go get cheap fish tacos down the street while enjoying drinks/appetizers there (over $70). We are crab tostadas which were delicious. Great setting if you can afford it. There is a bar outside too. I think they have live music on Thursday nights, it was good.Valet only parking, nice guys there too. But you could park locally elsewhere and walk in. We ended up buying milkshakes elsewhere and drinking them in the lobby while sitting by the fireplace.

Our service was so amazing for our Birthday dinner. The ambience of L'auberge is truly amazing and magical for our out of town friends. Our food was excellent. We will be back again!

I've never sent food back in my life to a restaurant except at Adelaide, now twice. So sad! The ambience and hotel are gorgeous. I want to love this restaurant so much but the food is actually gross and I like most food. Their burger is terrible.

Thanks for the anniversary card from Adelaide! Live music by David Scheid was the best! Stephanie brought us our proper drinks without us even asking, Limmy helped us pick a table, Nicole gave us super service, and Alise went out of her way to make sure everything, especially our food order was done perfectly! Compliments to the Adelaide staff! Jai & Chiharu ??‍❤️‍?❤️??⭐️

Special dinner tonight at Adelaide at L'Auberge Del Mar ~ started with the best whiskey sour and then wonderful crab tostada and charcoal-roasted Pacific Oysters mezcal butter, dried chili, lime, Matsutake Risotto with pine nuts, brown butter, pecorino cheese along with Smoked Japanese Sweet Potato with whipped goat cheese, sherry reduction, thai basil. Sooo good!

My husband and I went to L'Auberge Del Mar tonight and had dinner at Adelaide. Our table looked out over the hotel's water feature as well as the ocean. Although we could hear the singer and crowd gathered in the adjacent bar, the noise was pleasant rather than overwhelming. We ordered charcoal grilled oysters (rich and flavorful) and hamachi crudo (light and fresh) for our appetizers. For our main course we had the poached halibut (super moist) and scallops (beautifully seared and paired with gnocchi and fresh peas). For dessert we had the best flan I've ever been served. After dinner we indulged and had a Keoki coffee and their "Peat Monster" (a generous pour). It was a lovely evening, and we'd recommend it as a delightful date night destination.

Great food, but the price on the menu is NOT the price you pay. MANDATORY 5% added to bill “to help us pay minimum wage requirements”....ummmm....SUPER deceptive and unprofessional. Just raise the price of everything on menu by 50 cents, and stop doing this. Spoiler alert (and I'm positive I'm not alone on this)....it made me want to give a smaller tip!!! Really in poor taste. That being said, food is amazing and chefs/wait staff helped my wife with celiac, have a superb meal. Atmosphere is chic, and presentation is on point. Lots to love, but stop adding gross, tacky charges!

Have been there few times now and every time it has made its mark. Good simple menu, nice wine collection, quality food and very good service. Plus the view which you can't beat.

Great setting and great service, but the food is ok - we had two entrees for lunch; their hamburger and Caesar Salad with Salmon. The Hamburger was great but the Caesar salad was a joke - it was basically wet lettuce with sprinkle of Parmesan and a handful of “pulled croutons”, not sure what pulled means but it was basic croutons and the dressing had no flavor or maybe it was just water and a sprinkle of Parmesan; the Salmon in the Salad was well overcooked. The two drinks we had were very good. Don't order a salad - you can get a better one at at a cheap fast food restaurant.

Yikes.... We were the first ones seated at opening at 5p. We didn't get our food until after 6p and no we didn't order at 5:59p. A party of the same size (4) seated at least 10-15 minutes after us got their food first. It was weird. Our server actually said our food was coming out in "four minutes." That is a direct quote. I thought that was pretty impressive he knew the flow of the kitchen. He was waaaaaaaaay off. Daughter A ordered scallops dish. She said "The best thing in here is the peas." Daughter B got the chicken. It was dry. Sigh.... Wife who was sharing the chicken plate with daughter ordered shrimp salad and felt the dressing was drowning the salad. My salmon was good but after waiting nearly an hour it was not enough to save the night and I was just ate for the sake of eating. No joy there which is sad. Dining, especially in a place as nice as Del Mar, and especially during a holiday staycation should be savored not lamented. During the ridiculous wait for our food I could see our server helping other tables but also running drinks to the outside bar in the lobby. Fine, if the server was swamped, was there nobody in the kitchen to run food? Our food was brought out by two ladies that I didn't see at all in the restaurant which was weird. Managers? Our server at the end apologized for the wait and took off the "appetizer." You can't even begin to visualize the giant a$$ air quotes I'm using on "appetizer." It was homemade sourdough bread and butter basically. Promotes itself as a place with views of the ocean but you really have a view of the pool and buildings. One and done

I usually love L'Auberge for brunch. I have treated many out-of-town visitors here in Del Mar. I will continue to go for breakfast/brunch. However we decided on lunch instead and were disappointed in the quality of the salads.
