Cucina is part of a small, but great,  chain of Italian eateries in southern California.   At this location, we tried a wonderful roasted eggplant appetizer which was charred and delicious.  Then we tried multiple pizzas with mushroom and goat cheese,  pineapple and bacon, as well as soprassata and fennel sausage.  Each had a wonderful chewy crust and provided a unique combination of toppings and tastes.   The best part was there was no tomato sauce in sight. VERY loud, so just be prepared to speak loudly and. be surrounded by noise. Very energetic waitress as well who kept asking what the "special occasion" was that I had noted on my res. It almost felt pushy. Started in the bar and was just on the wire for HH wine and the bartender allowed my friend who showed up at like 6:03 the HH beer pricing. Thank you. we started with the burrata but the appetizer was completed different that the previous time at the restaurant. The tomatoes were not roasted just cut with some burrata and the bread was not as flavorful as the last time either. we completely enjoyed the pasta with the corn and the little gem salad. great girlfriend get together and dinner!
