Il Fornaio in Del Mar is one of those spots that's hard to beat. The food is incredible, especially the rigatoni a la vodka, which I'd put in the top 3 pastas in all of San Diego. Everything we ordered came out fresh and full of flavor. The view is another level. Watching the sunset over the ocean while having dinner here made the night feel special. I got the beet salad and my boyfriend got the fussiloni, both were delicious! Our server Antonio was very helpful and the service was extremely fast. The view was great and very relaxing.

This is one of our very favorite restaurants--the people, the food, and the assurance of always enjoying our dining experience in every way. Il Fornaio is one of our "go to" restaurants, because their menu is ever-changing with fabulous specials, and the quality of the food never disappoints. The variety of seating is also a plus--you can dine outdoors, indoors, or watch the sunset on their covered patio. And don't miss dessert! Their gelato is fabulous as well...
