The meal at the restaurant was amazing—very tasty, with fresh and unexpected flavors that truly surprised us. The new chef made incredible changes to the menu, and it really showed in every dish. We enjoyed several cocktails; my favorite was the French Kiss. For appetizers, we had oysters and tuna crudo. For the main courses, my husband ordered a unique meat steak with an unbelievably delicious sauce we had never tried before. I had seared tuna, served with a crunchy brick of rice and an outstanding shiitake sauce. The beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant, the stunning sunset, and the excellent service made our evening unforgettable. We even ordered a steak main dish to-go for our son, who thoroughly enjoyed it once we got home. Thank you very much to Chef Chris Idso and the entire team who served us on the evening of 04/26. It was a wonderful experience!

The food quality seems inconsistent, we were at the restaurant 2 week ago and the food was exceptional that is why we came back, but today the calamari seem to be soggy looks like it has been make for a while and the salmon is very salty and over cooked.

It's always a pleasure to dine at Pacifica, my favorite restaurant. They have great food and good specials. We took a friend for her birthday and she was totally impressed. They brought out a crème brûlée with a candle for her and we all three enjoyed eating that one beautiful dessert

Loved dining here! We were seated by the glass with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the ocean. Food was wonderful, attentive staff who were respectful of my food allergy, great ambiance. We even indulged in a delicious dessert despite having agreed upon no desserts before arriving!

First time for the 4 of us. Very nice selection for restaurant week. Mulligatawny soup was nicely flavored with mildly spiced curry. Sugar spiced salmon with mustard sauce was very nicely cooked, slightly moist, not dry. Server did not rush us. The music was subtle and we could actually hear our conversation. The experience will definitely need to be repeated.

Food was soo good! Sauces were to die for - salad dressing, mussels, ahi sauce. Brussel sprouts were divine- crispy & lightly sweet! Service was great too! A great meal to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary AND the best meal I’ve had in a loooong time!!
I came here in the late 1990s and again a few years back. This is a staple of Del Mar, but it seems to require some upkeep. The chairs, carpets, bathrooms, and menus are looking long in the tooth. I was expecting higher quality surroundings. The food was still good after all these years, but not really revolutionary anymore. I do recommend the spicy Margarita.

It was restaurant week so a great value for a good meal. We had the fresh catch which was sea bass and the short ribs. Both were excellent. Service was great. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Beautiful evening with a table along the front for a perfect view of the sunset.
