Richard Walker's Pancake House

Food is not good. Ordered eggs over medium and twice they brought the wrong eggs. Corn beef hash is sour and pancakes were like raw dough. They are not afraid to charge 20-30 per plate of eggs but the quality or taste don’t match. Waiter was very nice, I let him know but I don’t think he’s allowed to do anything about it. Too bad I really wanted to like that place

The food was really good. It was fresh with organic ingredients. Very very good quality food and it just tasted so delicious. They served us our drinks (Orange Juice) immediately while we waited with a side of fresh water. The orange juice was freshly squeezed so it nearly knocked me off my feet with its incredible kick lol. The atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. You can eat inside or outside but me and my partner chose to eat outside which felt more exclusive. All in all we both loved it and plan on returning when we are visiting Oceanside again.

If you're local or just visiting the North County, be sure to get breakfast at Richard Walker's... it is truly one of the best! And... you'll be so full you won't need to eat the rest of the day! :)

A bit on the pricey side, extra service is provided with quick coffee refills and a huge menu, covers almost everthing for breakfast and lunch. Excellent German and baked apple pancakes. Quality is their goal and they do excel in great food. plenty of free nearby parking

No Maple syrup, neither on the table nor upon request.

Early morning, looking for breakfast and these reviews were promising. I orders the Texas style French toast, bacon pancakes with an order of bacon & eggs, coffee, and an apple juice. The order totaled in at $62. The pancakes were small, very dry and crumbly, it soaked up the plain watery syrup and was STILL dry. The eggs were nothing too special, the bacon was pretty good to be fair. The French toast was good but again, nothing too crazy. The apple juice was 16 oz and was 8 DOLLARS, I'm unsure if it was refillable. Coffee was $6 for a 6 oz cup but its refillable. If you're looking for a simple homestyle breakfast, this is not the place to get your money's worth. Now I saw their apple crisp and Dutch babies had good reviews, this might be the place for specialties like that, but not for a simple meal. Norms pancakes are bigger and had more flavor for a good price.

Great food, large portions, top quality ingredients, this place is a must eat restaurant in DelMar. Our server Cesar was the perfect combination of attentiveness without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
