This place is awesome. We loved the German pancake, but everything was delicious. It was really nice to sit outside, too.

There are many locations around San Diego but this is my favorite one. Located on Via de la Valle in the Flower Hill Promenade just off the highway near Milton‘s. I’ve been coming to this shopping center since I was a kid and feel that Richard Walker’s is a great addition to it. We did not have to wait at all for our Saturday brunch, even though it was quite crowded when we arrived. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and many different seating options from booth to table. They have a very large menu that is focused on pancakes, but honestly everything we saw being delivered around us looked great as well. Our server was very polite and all of our items came out quickly. Being attached to Flower Hill there was plenty of parking, but depending on when you go it may be quite busy, but you will definitely find a space.

For my meal I chose the California Benedict, which is basically a traditional Benedict with avocado on it and honestly I loved it. The hashbrowns on the side were great and the coffee I had during the meal was strong and tasty. I also feel the portion sizes are very large and the pricing is fair so it’s easy to suggest this place to anyone. My parents live very close by so I definitely plan to be back many times in the future.

Bit pricey for breakfast food, but it's always delicious. The service is wonderful and they always keep your coffee topped off. They have specials throughout the year. At the time of this review they have pumpkin pancakes with pumpkin butter and biscuits & gravy. If you have the time, the dutch baby and the famous apple pancake are worth the wait.

I’m from out of town and went to Richard Walker’s with a couple friends. We had one of the best breakfast experiences ever from the service to the food and the general atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend!

Very poor service. Spoiled creamer was brought out, after having it replaced, I finished my coffee to find a piece of metal in it. It took over 50 min to get our food after ordering. Two families that came after us were served before us. We will NEVER be visiting again.

Always a 5 Star spot since 2021, food so good & it still is…..HOWEVER……obvious cost cutting measures have led to noticeably smaller portion sizes, especially the pancakes (!) and the hash browns too, at no reduction in price so…..we probably won’t go back!
Service is still excellent tho!!
Too bad about the changes we really love this restaurant.

This company brings a great product unfortunately the service falls short. Over the past month I've ordered through Uber Eats no less than 8 times. Because of my re emote location I've sent delivery directions via text. I have also added the need for utensils to get included (CA law gives inclusion of utensils optional) therefore I always text the driver to include utensils. On this driver I observed her name could indicate a foreign nationality. I text there times and also called Uber eats customer to service. My rep assured she had conveyed utensils and sure tuons to the driver. When product arrived NO Utensils for PANCAKE. Uber eats apologized, staring they could do nothing. I then contacted Richard walker and their response was they had no responsibility for action of Uber Eats. I explained my numerous visits and purchases but the response was " you're trying to blame us for the error of another company". WHEN DID CUSTOMER SERVICE BECOME LESS IF A PRIORITY.I grow weary of this "not my fault" attitude, all at the expense of the customer (btw thus order has had a date increase of $2 over the past week). That said I have a breakfast I cannot eat and I'm out a LOT of money.
