Usual pleasant outdoor patio, not too busy. But sashimi fish on chirashi-zushi which I always order not up to usual fresh standard yesterday. Maybe just an off day. Or cutting corners? Service too was a bit down as only one waitress.

We haven't eaten here in years - now we know what we've been missing!!! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. . .assorted tempura, pork dumplings, chicken teriyaki, mushroom/greenbean dish and a tempura style roll. Service was top notch, food was hot and fresh. Can't wait to return!!

A great place to eat sushi and other Japanese dishes. Sake collection is nice as well. But, the place gets busy and noisy and messy. Turning over tables seems to be a priority, which is understandable from a business point of view, but it does affect the dining experience. There's definitely better sushi out there, but maybe not with the same view.

We were seated inside on a Thursday night. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and checked back at all the right times. We had mostly nigiri, one spicy tuna roll and some hamachi crudo. The nigiri was cut to (what I think) is the right size; not too small and not a giant slab. I liked the ambience of the room and overall we had a great time.

I have been a big fan of this sushi place for many years. The fish quality is excellent. The staff is efficient, sometimes very funny (sushi bar!), and kind. It is on the second floor, north side of this plaza....behind Il Fornio...so it is tricky to find. Much outdoor seating with heaters. Only 5 tables inside plus sushi bar.

Wow....we have been to many Izakayas before and this one is the best! The atmosphere is wonderful and very Japanese, the food is amazing and worth every penny! Must see when in Del Mar!
My first time at this place. The fish was not fresh at all. This is just my opinion. Maybe others liked this place but I have eaten sushi in many different places and countries and this place was quite disappointing. Atmosphere was good. Highly overpriced for the quality of fish they served.

Overall the freshest sushi in San Diego. Nothing fancy, just straight quality! There is no Camouflaging old fish with different sauces and making it look fancy here. Rolls were sooo good!

We eat at the sushi bar regularly and it is delicious. Our family has been to Japan many times and the food is authentic and also has local rolls as well. Love the Japanese tapas, the Potato salad especially. Great for special occasions, a night out for delicious sushi, casual or you can dress up. Anything goes. P
We had a fantastic dinner here with family The service was outstanding and they were very patient when some of our group was late. It wasn't super crowded and there was a beautiful outdoor area. It's a little tricky to find the first time, but it's in a really cool location.
