We visit the store today and it was excellent, the employees were very friendly and above all our drinks were spectacular. Congratulations to all employees. They made my day.

My children and I went to drive thru. One of my sons wanted a cup of water so I went and parked because that was right after we had gone through drive thru. He came back to the car with no cup of water. He said a blond young lady with her hair up taller than 5’2 told him he had to buy something in order for her to give him WATER! ?? What I couldn’t believe my ears. I have been to this Starbucks many times I can’t believe there are people who can’t give a cup of water regardless of the fact if they bought anything or not. Who DENIES a CUP OF WATER?

The food is the same, and the spot itself is great — easy parking and a cute patio. But the service is horrible. You can wait 15 minutes just for an Americano, and once I waited over 20 minutes for simple egg bites. I always place my order early, but it doesn’t help. Even when they’re not busy, you still end up waiting way too long. Really annoying.

This was hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a Starbucks. The staff made us feel completely unwelcome from the moment we walked in.

When I asked Sasha for the bathroom code, she refused and questioned whether we’d made a purchase. We were about to, but I needed to use the restroom first. Only after I said I was making a purchase did she finally give the code. I didn’t catch it, and another employee (short brown pixie haircut with blonde highlights) loudly and condescendingly repeated it — completely unnecessary and rude.

When my drink came up, it was rung in wrong and made “for here” instead of to-go. I let Katie, the barista, know that Sasha had made the mistake, and she just stared at me — no apology, no response, nothing. Thankfully, an older Asian woman stepped in, fixed the order, and apologized — the only one with any sense of customer service.

The rest of the staff clearly couldn’t care less about treating customers with respect. The attitude and lack of professionalism here are unacceptable, and I won’t be coming back to this location.

Stopped by this location on my way to Carlsbad. Great location, just off the freeway. The service was fast and efficient. The only drawback is the indoor seating area is on the smaller side. I tried the pecan latte. It was good.

Horrible representation for a Starbucks! I went into the store this evening (8/31) and I immediately noticed the employees were highly unfriendly which made me uncomfortable. The men working the evening shift are not only unfriendly and unprofessional, but so unpleasant. While sitting in the cafe I overheard them speaking poorly about other customers utilizing the drive thru and I was mortified. What a shame to have such lackluster! I will definitely not patronize this location again.

Stopped by Starbucks and ordered a Cappuccino and a Frappé Latte — both tasted really good! Smooth, well-balanced, and just what I needed. Great spot for a quick coffee fix!

Great service, smallish space so not the most inviting for a sit down.. although outside seating area can be nice weather permitting. Drinks are usually made to spec and I rarely return for a remake or feel a need to complain.. so they’re doing everything right. It’s a convenient location, but the parking area can be a bit chaotic during peak hours.

I come to this Starbucks almost daily. Some people know my face and name by now. I spend about $25/$30 a week here. I went to use the bathroom one afternoon and was told I needed to purchase something to be given the code like I was some stranger to this place. Not cool. Don't police the bathroom to your regulars.

Coffee is good but don’t use the drive through, they’re slow.

My wife and I bought a coffee earlier and came back in to use the restroom not 20 mins later. We asked for the restroom code for the door and the employee Katie said we needed to purchase something in order to use the restroom. My wife is pregnant and just needed to use the restroom. We are paying customers.

The person at the window is always awesome however, this time both drinks I ordered were inconsistent with the same drink at other locations. The latte was very weak and the other tasted like the tap water used to make the tea and or ice needs filtered. It might not be their fault I'm beginning to learn Del Mar tap Water is just a bit more gross than nearby communities and drinks like Iced tea are just best avoided.

Today we visited the Starbucks at 2602 Del Mar Heights Rd, Del Mar, CA, and ordered two Iced Shaken Espressos via the drive-thru. The coffee was as good as expected, but the service left much to be desired.

While taking our order, the staff was initially friendly, but during the handoff, the young lady became extremely rude. After I said “thank you,” she only responded with an arrogant “hmm.” It felt like she was annoyed because we didn’t leave a tip.

Unfortunately, this behavior left a negative impression, and we wouldn’t visit this location again. It’s disappointing because great service is just as important as great coffee.
