Poseidon Restaurant Del Mar

An unfortunate experience for a special occasion. Birthday dinner was just awful. Started good enough but spiraled out of control quickly. Cocktails arrived on time but missed two. Apps arrived on time, prep ok. Wine ordered but sat to the side. Mains arrived in a decent amount of time but completely wrong. Personally started serving my family as everything sat on the service tray. Bizarre. Grabbed the bottle of wine and attempted to open it myself as it just sat. Two meals took 20 minutes to be corrected. Everyone else was finished. Awkward birthday celebration. They brought a tray of desserts that we didn’t order for the birthday celebration but made a big deal that it was comped. WTH? If you’re gonna serve a birthday dessert with a candle, there is no charge. Claudia needs to trim her fingernails because she taps her handheld uncontrollably. Bad experience overall for somewhere we chose to spend a special occasion.

It appeared that the server was managing many tables and it was, at times, hard to get their attention. Very nice and good at job. just could not get their attention all the time, for both ordering and paying the bill. Still love the restaurant. But it was VERY busy for a Tuesday night.

This is a go-to place for me for both business and pleasure, highly recommend. Not many can do fish as well as these guys, especially Chilean sea bass.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had to change my reservation and the restaurant was very accommodating.

Really enjoyed our oceanview brunch. Tiffany was an excellent server. Very attentive and friendly. Food was good, coffee was good, and the Boost drink was great!!

Dining on the coast next to the waves was superb, sunny day, not to chilly outside. Jesus was excellent with service to our table. Food was exceptional, I highly recommend it.

Came to Poseidon for the first time jenna the bartender was so amazing not only did she treat me with the utmost respectful but I recommended so many amazing places! Would definitely come back

Beautiful ocean view from the terrace. Delicious food and good customer service. My friend and I had two sangrias that were a bit watery and lacked much flavor.

Food was excellent especially their signature dish the Chilean Sea Bass. Service was also excellent (I believe the gentleman server's name was Shawn). And of course, the ambience with patio seating right up against the cement wall overlooking the Del Mar beach, watching a beautiful Sunset!

Lovely view of the ocean while eating a delicious lunch. Complemented by excellent service from the wait staff and manager.

This is a fabulous restaurant! Highly recommend. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere can’t be bet.
