Service is excellent, menu has a wide variety of items and everything we had was yummy. Lovely setting.

From making the Open Table reservation to picking up our car from the valet, the whole experience was pure joy, comfort and relaxation. The team is great, too.

Absolutely loved this place. Watched the sunset from the patio while having a fabulous dinner. Highly recommend the sea bass and the tuna.

Greatly impressed a friend from Arizona - the wonderful San Diego winter lifestyle by the beach. Had a table outside under the retractable shade. The Fish and Chips are really good, with a very tasty batter instead of the typical oily skins.

At first we were concerned by the crowd, noise & disorganization of the receptionist. However, once seated we had a great experience! Terrific server & excellent food. We highly recommend!

The service was awesome, view is amazing, but the food was just OK. The seabass was way overcooked and the clams in the clam chowder were so chewy that you couldn't eat them. The special which included a sirloin steak was so tough that you couldn't eat it.

We had an outstanding evening at the Poseidon this past Friday evening. My date and I had outdoor seating with an ocean view. Dave, our waiter was personable, knowledgeable, and pleasant. He made some great recommendations and promptly brought us drinks appetizers and finally our main course, which, by the way was absolutely outstanding my date had the Seabass and I had the yellowfin tuna. I was thoroughly impressed and would return in a heartbeat.

An unfortunate experience for a special occasion. Birthday dinner was just awful. Started good enough but spiraled out of control quickly. Cocktails arrived on time but missed two. Apps arrived on time, prep ok. Wine ordered but sat to the side. Mains arrived in a decent amount of time but completely wrong. Personally started serving my family as everything sat on the service tray. Bizarre. Grabbed the bottle of wine and attempted to open it myself as it just sat. Two meals took 20 minutes to be corrected. Everyone else was finished. Awkward birthday celebration. They brought a tray of desserts that we didn’t order for the birthday celebration but made a big deal that it was comped. WTH? If you’re gonna serve a birthday dessert with a candle, there is no charge. Claudia needs to trim her fingernails because she taps her handheld uncontrollably. Bad experience overall for somewhere we chose to spend a special occasion.

It appeared that the server was managing many tables and it was, at times, hard to get their attention. Very nice and good at job. just could not get their attention all the time, for both ordering and paying the bill. Still love the restaurant. But it was VERY busy for a Tuesday night.

This is a go-to place for me for both business and pleasure, highly recommend. Not many can do fish as well as these guys, especially Chilean sea bass.
