Visited Urbana on a Friday night and the ambiance was lively. The service was good considering there were larger groups. The cocktails were just right and the appetizers were tasty and were just the right amount for the group. Had the lobster tacos and they were delicious. Price was more than fair for what was ordered. I was glad we visited.
Great setting in the sky deck! I had the pozole which was VERY tasty! I didn't have high expectations as I usually go to Mexico for that. My friend had a burger. No gluten free options and no side options for plates here unfortunately. My experience was great but I felt bad for my friend who couldn't get a protein wrap, side salad or offered accommodation. Tables inside are under either direct ac or speakers so you might be better off served going outside. The pozole was great!
Lots of kids running around the outdoor area, unsupervised, bumping into chairs and being loud. Additionally, our food took over 30 minutes to arrive.
Overall had a great experience here! Definitely coming again!

Urbana nails it every single time we dine at this restaurant. The MOLE is THE BEST in California, seriously! Actually, ALL the sauces are incredibly flavorful and enjoyable, and the fact that different protein choices for the enchiladas are now available, we are just going to have to come back and try every one of them. It was great to see so many customers tonight, choosing to come to Urbana, laughing, drinking, eating and having a great time, probably because the restaurant staff efficiently took care of everything. Our server, JES, never rushed us, but always made sure we had what we needed without asking. That's a true skill lacking in so many other restaurants. If you haven't been to Urbana yet, or are just "thinking" about going, just GO!! Make a reservation and relax with a couple of cadillac margaritas and a bowl of chips and guacamole, like we did. Then move on to as much food as you can enjoy and know that you will be transported to a time and a place where the kind of Mexican cuisine you will fork into your mouth will be of the caliber that would make any abuela proud. Todo es muy delicioso!!
A local SD friend mentioned Urbana to me. Wow! This is my officially my new Favorite Mexican restaurant! From the freshly made guacamole a chips and tacos to the Mole Enchiladas, this place was delicious! Not only is the food delicious, the cocktails were amazing! I am craving the Mezcal Margarita with Tamarindo! Yum! Plus, it was dog-friendly. The staff were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning!
$25 for a skimpy portion of carne asada fries where the carne asada were tiny overcooked chewy pieces. And there was a $3 service fee for whatever reason. Do not recommend and will definitely not be coming back
Great place for Taco Tuesday! Service was great and location for sky deck is in a good place.
15$ Ceasar salad, dressing on the side. Wasn't bad. I just expected more than a 3$ box of Romain lettuce, and a few slices of tomato.

I don’t know why this place has such low reviews. I’ve been here so many times and the food is AMAZING. They have the best happy hour and taco Tuesday deals too. Their service can be a little slow sometimes, but it’s worth it for the tacos and the prices!

It has great atmosphere with outdoor space. I happened to be there on a Tuesday and they have $5 Tacos on Tuesday. I had carnitas and fish tacos. The carnitas one is really good.

Been there a few times. Not sure if we will again. The house margarita is good. Lots of ice, though. The tacos were OK. The side of Rice & Beans was $8 but the portions were small and the rice not very good. Are they subject to tariffs? Service was EXTREMELY Sloooooow. Our server did not even acknowledge our comment about the rice. They did not have a few menu items when we asked (IPA beer and oysters. The best part of the food was the Poke Tower.
We went here early evening. It was not crowded at all. Waiters were nice and attentive, foods drinks we had were all very good.

I've never left behind a bowl of guacamole but theirs was mostly tomatoes and had zero lime, salt or pepper. You really need to be competitive if you are serving Mexican food in the SD area. And, there was no one at are table “wowed” by anything ordered. Sadly, not impressed.
They charge for chips and salsa which is disappointing. Most food was ok at best. A few dishes were really enjoyed such as the guacamole, and the fish taco. The queso birria was good, but the value wasn't great for the price.
