Guillermo’s Steakhouse Reviews
Had lunch at Guillermo’s today! Excellent burgers, pastrami, fries & salad. Can’t wait to go back again soon.
Unassuming restaurant in a converted space, but they did a nice job with some basic ambience.
The service was outstanding - attentive, refills showed up just when our glasses emptied, and the apps and mains were tuned perfectly.
Food was spectacular, especially for the price. I had the trip tip with blue cheese and onion rings. The steak was perfect, the blue cheese was generous and delicious, and the rings were crispy without being greasy. My daughter had the wings...read full review

Absolutely fantastic. There’s something different about a restaurant when the owner is in the kitchen. Guillermo’s efforts shine through.
Rack of Lamb might have been the juiciest and perfectly medium cooked rack I’ve ever had. Cheesecake was soft and almost fluffy, and the basque setup had so much more flavour than any other in the county.

Guillermo’s Steakhouse is described as an unassuming restaurant in a converted space with a nice job done on some basic ambience. The service is outstanding, attentive, with refills showing up just when glasses emptied, and the apps and mains tuned perfectly. The food is spectacular, especially for the price. Meals mentioned include the trip tip with blue cheese and onion rings, wings, parm fries, Rack of Lamb, Cheesecake, basque setup, pastrami sandwich, hamburger sandwich, taco salad with ground beef, kitchen sink omelette with biscuit and gravy, and ribye steak. The steak was perfect, the blue cheese generous and delicious, and the rings crispy without being greasy. The Rack of Lamb might have been the juiciest and perfectly medium cooked rack. The Cheesecake was soft and almost fluffy, and the basque setup had so much more flavour. The kitchen sink omelette was delicious and enough to feed three for a reasonable price. The ribye steak was tender, flavorful and delicious. One visit had a taco salad with ground beef that was a hamburger patty chopped up and could not be eaten, but one bad meal won’t stop a return. The Friday Night (Basque) dinner was amazing, with a great set up, delicious food, and wonderful servers. The restaurant has a lot of space so you’re not crammed next to people. It is the definition of a hidden gem, and Friday nights at Guillermo’s is in the top 3 meals in Kern County. Hope this place keeps thriving and never goes away. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
