SMI is an experience like no other in SoCal. Think of a mini-Hedonism resort. Yes there are swinger nights at various locations, but nowhere else can you enjoy being fully naked and enjoy the amazing sun, meet SO many friendly people, and express your sexuality in a safe, totally accepting environment. Smaller then we thought. You can call that intimate I suppose. The room was a mixed bag. The door blinds didn't close on one of the french doors so the room stayed kind of light. The coffee maker in the room didn't work. The switch on one of the lamps bedside didn't work so we had to plug and unplug it. Last negative, the spa could be warmer. Massage honestly saved this from being 2 stars. This place has a communication issue. I called 3 times setting up the day spa stay for me and my husband. I was told I'd get email confirmation the first call. I called again the next day asking about my confirmation and was told it takes 24 hours (never showed in my inbox after 3 days).
