“Sushi Bella in Desert Hot Springs was such an unexpected find…honestly, some of the best sushi I’ve had in California, and I cannot believe I found it all the way out in the desert.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The nigiri was beautifully cut and buttery, the specialty rolls were generous without being overloaded, and the crispy shrimp hand roll was ridiculously satisfying. Even with some of the richer sauces and toppings, the fish still remained the star of the meal.

It’s a small, unassuming spot, which somehow makes the experience even better. You walk in expecting a casual neighborhood sushi restaurant and end up having a meal that easily competes with places I’ve eaten at in Los Angeles.

Fresh fish, great portions, really delicious combinations, and absolutely worth seeking out if you’re anywhere near Desert Hot Springs or Palm Springs. This was one of those wonderful food discoveries that makes traveling so much fun. I will 100% be back.”

“Excellent food. Lamb was tasty but cooked well, spicy and flavorful. Chicken the same with mild and very savory sauce. Naan bread was crunchy but not dry and still able to scoop sauce. Loved it!”

“Don Tacorriendo is our favorite place in the valley for Mexican food. Good prices, great selection and portions, and delicious food. Also, you can buy pints of their great salsa and refried beans to take home. Great spot!!”

“The mole enchiladas were TO DIE FOR! I cook mole and this recipe has me stumped, the presentation is also 10/10 The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The chips and salsa were excellent as well and I had the Jamaica agua fresca and it’s was just sweet enough any sweeter or diluted would be too much!!! Definitely coming back!!!”

“AZURE PALMS CAFE has become one of my favorite spots for vegan food in Desert Hot Springs. There are not a lot of quality vegan options in the area, so this place is truly appreciated. My favorite meal is the black bean walnut burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, served with a side salad, pickle, and vegan Thousand Island dressing. Absolutely delicious and filling without feeling heavy. I also highly recommend the Green Goddess Salad with vegan vinaigrette instead of the regular dressing. It comes packed with green beans, spinach, avocado, cucumber, soybeans, and sprouts — fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. The cafe is located inside the hot springs resort, so you can enjoy it whether you’re staying there or just visiting as a guest. The café closes around 7 PM, but they still offer desserts, grab-and-go items, and regular food service until about 11 PM, which is super convenient. “So good!! My husband grew up in a palm Springs and we have been enjoying date shakes for 40 years together and have tried them all. The date shakes here are the real deal. They are the only one that uses real dates and ice cream. Not date flakes or ice milk. The pastrami sandwich is so good also and enjoy the peaceful patio. If you see the bus there come back later. It’s a small family store and can get busy”

“Wasn't a huge fan of the pho or the sweet and sour chicken compared to other restaurants but the orange chicken and chow mein were pretty good and the amount of food and quality that you get for the price is definitely worth it. The girl up front was nice and checked on our table for refills etc.”

“Took my friend to a bar for the first time. The bartender lady is really nice and funny too and cute. Prices are good. They have a pool table, darts, and some Arcade games. Good music. What made it good was the Bartender. She told me her name but I had forgotten already and I'm not drunk. Just bad with names. So go check it out.”
