“It's the dining room of the golf club house there. Reservations are a must since it is a smaller establishment. There is a bar area next to it. Free parking. Commanding desert views. There are also different food events in the evenings. There won't be a wide variety of menu items but enough that everyone should be satisfied with their order. Friendly staff and their hostess there has personality. They offer complimentary french bread and butter.Bar and food prices very reasonable for all that you get. Many happy diners.“
“Muy buena comida y calidad , solo le doy 4 estrellas porque todo estaba muy enchiloso para mi gusto, pero si te gusta lo picante este es elLugar perfecto.... El mariscoco es impresionante .... La próxima vez les pediré sin chile please !!“
“I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Taco and my wife had the Roasted Vegetable Bowl with Shrimp. Both meals were excellent, as was the service from our server Scott. We’ve been to this restaurant many time and every time have been very happy with the food, the service and the vibe. Great people watching too! We highly recommend this restaurant.“
“This beautiful restaurant was nothing but amazing in every way! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, absolutely delicious. The spicy marinara sauce was such a great match. We shared a Caesar salad and the dressing was one of the best I've had. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation and it did not disappoint! We also ordered the homemade lasagna.....excellent. We will definitely return! Thank you for a great dining experience.“
“"Ruben's Special" was delicious. Plenty of seafood in the dish and a flavorful broth too.The raw oysters were fresh, tasty, and cleanly presented BUT I did not appreciate having to finish shucking my own oysters with a butter knife. Suggestion: coach the kitchen staff to properly release the aductor muscle from BOTH shells.Atmosphere is pleasant but noisy....in a good way.“
“a very nice restaurant just a half a block off the main drag in Palm Springs the food was excellent and the service was great. we were there before it got really crowded so I wouldn't be able to tell you about how fast the service is in the middle of the busy hour.“
“Our family ate at Mickeys for lunch. The food was excellent and a very good value. We had the chorizo burrito, chicken burrito, chicken and beef tacos and quesadilla. All of the items had such good flavor and texture to the food. The way they cook the burritos on a grill and brown the sides gives the flour tortilla and really good flavor and texture. We will miss getting to eat there again since we were just visiting. Mickey after she cooked our meal came out and thanked us for our business before we were done and that was nice and appreciated.“
“Visiting Palm Springs for our wedding Anniversary/ Babymoon and decided to have a nice steakhouse dinner. Given it's a Monday night, we called and got a reservation within the hour. Nester was our server and he was fantastic! He had great recommendations, he made us laugh and he was very attentive along with his dinner assistant. We had the special of the night which was a NY Strip and then we also ordered the king crab legs. Both were amazing and we were so happy with our selection. To top it off, Nester ended our night with a complimentary dessert!“
“Thanks for offering so many vegan plant based options on your menu. We got drunken noodles, yellow curry and fresh spring rolls. All were excellent fresh and good size portions. Did take out and food was ready on time. Restaurant looked busy as well.“
“I wasn’t sure what to expect with Peruvian food, but I was not disappointed. We felt bad for the people eating Mexican food next door because we knew they were missing out. Definitely consider coming here if you want a unique experience. The steak was mouth watering, the chicken fried rice was full of flavor, and the sea bass was so tasty. And don’t miss out on the unique Peruvian drinks as well. Very special place here!“
“Stopped in here with a small group on a Friday night, so I expected it to be busy. It was. However! The server, bartender and other staff were all incredibly friendly and nice, helpful, etc. We essentially came here to try the World Famous Fish Tacos and man o man, they did NOT disappoint. I had the cod, my fiancee had the shrimp and her brother had the Ahi. Everyone enjoyed each of the tacos. We live in Seattle, so authentic Mexican food that is actually good, is pretty rare. Especially fish tacos. These were off the charts. Seriously, we heard about this place on one of the food network shows, not sure which. Either way, it was a great suggestion. If I lived in PS, I'd be there every week.Only one less point because we were unsure where to go or sit when we arrived and it was loud/confusing due to live music. Not at all complaining about that, just was confusing and took a few moments to figure everything out. After that, everything was amazing. Would definitely return if/when I go back to PS.“
“First time in Palm Springs, and glad I went to this place for lunch. The place was clean. We were a group of 7, and they were really fast on getting us a table, bringing our appetizers, and food. There was no issue. Everything I had was really tasty. From the guacamole dip (must try) to the lobster enchiladas. Great place to go if you’re in downtown Palm Springs.“
“Taka Shin restaurant exceeded all expectations! The sushi was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the expertly crafted rolls, every bite was a culinary delight. A definite must-visit for sushi lovers!“
“Located inside a gas station store, this place is legit. There were 4 of us and we all ordered very different things and they were all way better than you would expect. Standout for me was the breakfast burrito and the menudo was super yummy too!“
“Love Pomme Frite. We always go several times during our time here in the desert. Our annual lunch on our first day is one of our favorite traditions. This year did not disappoint. We had steak tartare, salad Lyonnaise and Croque Monsieur. Paired with a bottle of crisp white wine it was the perfect start to vacation. we always come back for dinner several times. Their pate, the French onion soup, the mussels and fish dishes are always top-notch. They often have daily specials which are worth investigating. Our favorite waiters are Mark or Willie, but all servers are excellent. Whenever our favorite stops in Palm Springs when we are here.“
“I'm perplexed at the poor recent reviews of this place. It looks like they're mostly from Canadians and people from the hellish north where Mexican food comes from cans with an authentic looking Mexican lady on the label. I noticed that most of the guests here looked local and that's a good thing. It keeps the butthead northerners out. I'm a Canadian now but grew up in the southwest where everyone made their own tortillas from scratch so I know good Mexican food. This was good Mexican food. Service: cold at first but warmed up a lot when she figured out we weren't her average idiot snowbirds. She was very attentive and very fast with the margarita refills. Wonderful server all around that probably has to deal with too many aholes from the barren north. Food: the salsas were excellent and obviously made in house. They were hot without being too obtrusive. Tamales were very good and filled heavily with meat. Chile rellanos were cheesy and delightful but the chicken enchilada really made the day. The chicken was tender and fresh without any dryness. Margaritas: damn...great quality and lots of tequila without too much sweetness. I crawled out the door after three of 'em. Prices: margs were 4.50 each for happy hour, Tuesday and thursday. We lucked out and came on Thursday so yippee!!! I had three and my wife two. A great time was had by all. Food prices were a little high for the area but it came out fast and the servings were large. Summary: Good service if you're not a butthead, good food, great margaritas, and decent prices. What else can you ask for?“
