“This is my uncles favorite place when he visits. The service is always exceptional and the food is too. The French onion soup one of the best. His favorite is the king crab legs. Not for the faint of heart. It's a lot of legs and a lot of money. Truely a wonderful place to eat.“
“Love the ambiance of patios. Service is Top-notch. Food was not as good this time. Calamari portion was skimpy. Rib eye steak was supposed to be med-rare but was medium to well done. Mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless. Did not eat more than 1 bite. Vegetables were whole carrots and broccolini, but they needed to be cooked a bit more because they were super super crunchy. “I haven't been here since I was a kid and I was happy to be back. The food is very good and always makes you want to try new things. The service is a bit slow, but I believe they are severely understaffed. The restaurant is a bit dark and very relaxing, but a younger person, as myself, I love it and can see fine. I've tried multiple items so far and I haven't been disappointed tbh. Only thing I'd change is making the spicy items a bit more spicy. I felt no spice with the items I ordered. I'll be back Shanghai Inn!“
“An exemplar of Fine Dining, WDT is purportedly the last incarnation of an LA restauranteur'd famous Velvet Turtle establishments, with a handful of the dishes his French chef created for them (Wild Mushroom Soup, Dover Sole and heavenly Souffles among them). Two brave souls ordered the Calves (Calf?) Liver and raved about it. The Somellier was excellent, guiding us toward an excellent Pinot and (my favorite) the Super Tuscan. All in all, a great night out and a never-forget imptession for our customers.“
