We enjoyed the festive outdoor ambience and friendly service and found the food to be decent, but it could use some improvements. The meat in the tampiquena lacked flavor and tenderness, but the sauce was good. It would be better to make it from a thinner cut of steak, like skirt or flank steak or use a high quality sirloin and to marinate the meat more before grilling. Shame on us for not trying this place sooner! We had an absolutely amazing dinner with attentive & friendly staff. We enjoyed the outdoor patio & the weather could not have been better. We enjoyed the Tampiquena, Santa Fe chicken salad, corn cake & deep fried ice cream, in other words we went all in! Their mole is excellent! We were in town for Coachella and wanted to eat some Mexican food. This place was amazing! The food and service were excellent. We ordered pastor tacos, asada sopes, and camarones zarandeados. Miguel(the owner) even took a few minutes to chat with all the customers. Give this place a try, you will be glad that you did!
