“I just tried this place last week as I am staying in Palm Springs for a month. I loved the sandwiches! I might go back today to explore more of their food, and buying some of their awesome Vegan shirts and merch!”

“We live locally and decided to try this little place on El Paseo by Revivals. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in with enthusiasim. The atmosphere was relaxed, the space was clean and cute. The menu itself had a point of view and is easy to read/order from. We started off with the corn dip, it was creamy with little sweet pops of corn. The chips are made in house and added a needed saltiness and crunch to the appetizer. For our entrees we got a Spicy Chicken sandwich and the Pambazo. The chicken sandwhich was drip juicy and paired well with their jalapeno aioli and textbook onion rings. Sadly, the bread for the Pambazo was a bit hard and difficult to eat even after pouring the red sauce over it and waiting a bit, though it looked beautiful. However, what was inside was amazing and i ended up eating all of what was inside. The slaw tasted fresh, but a bit salty, it did est well with the pambano however. After comment on the bread, they took the critic well and recovered by offering a free desert, i could not refuse and am glad i didnt. I chose their house made tres leche cake to go. It was well soaked and not too sweet. The cream was cloudlike, but firm and held well with the milk cake. I will be comming back for more. 5/5 for me, the reception of the critic and the recovery was more than enough to make up for the small bread mishap. Thank you for a great experience.”

“Tommy Bahamas hosted my rehearsal dinner for my wedding, a total of 16 adults and 4 children. They went above and beyond. Initially, we were on the outdoor terrace surrounded by other customers. I asked if we could be more secluded since some of the family and guests wanted to say some words. They proceeded to move our entire group to a different section of the terrace for a more private and quiet setting. It was incredibly kind and generous of them to do so. Benjamin, our waiter was also terrific. He was prompt, thorough, and the service we received was unparalleled. The food and drinks, as always, were tremendous, and my wife and I could not be more satisfied. They even gave us a piece of pina colada cake as a celebration! Thank you again to the entire Tommy Bahama staff for a wonderful evening.”

We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!”

But, I digress here. Let's get back on topic. The food and the hospitality here is top notch, It is amazing.

My favorite dish here is the 3 Egg Omelete and my New Favorite is now the Steak and Egg dish.

The picture I'm posting here shows the Steak and Egg dish. It's super thick and delicious and tasty! It's all for a great price too. I'm telling you. This place is a hidden Gem and I recommend you give them a try ??

“This is a very small inside-only restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and cozy, with nice sized tables to accommodate either 2 or 4 diners. The cocktails and wine by the glass are very reasonably priced, as are the appetizers and entrees. My escargot appetizer and veal kidney entree were excellent. Service is courteous and attentive. In my view, the best traditional French food in the Palm Desert area.”

“The appearance of this strip mall restaurant is deceiving. I had the chicken mole and the house Margherita. The chips, salsa, guacamole, and everything was really delicious! The mole was the best I’ve had since visiting family in MX.

“Went to the beautiful La Spiga restaurant last night for a birthday dinner. What a royal treat!. Excellent martinis, perfectly prepared swordfish and profeteroles for dessert to die for. Igor was attentive and knowledgable with the service. A memorable birthday dinner for my husband. Definitely, we will be back to try many more dishes, especially the Italian pastas. “Where do I start?…..The menu, I really like that they have a handout menu available. Down side of it… when I placed my Roll Tacos for “$6.60” as shown on the handout menu. It turned out to be $7.60. ( He gots the Biden Prices which was a bummer for a minute I thought Castañedas was a nice guy for keeping his prices low but never mind). But it’s okay it was just a dollar. Hmm The quality of the food was alight not a lot of flavor on the beef but it’s cool The Roll Tacos were made with so much love, that I did appreciated. I tried this particular Castañeda's about half a dozen times 5, 6 and 7 years ago and it was just not worth coming back, very much less than even average. I decided to give it another try about a year ago (I live next door in Sun City) and was more than pleasantly surprised. I wanted to try it several more times before I committed to writing a review and I'm happy to say the last three dinners were equally good. Just keep in mind it is not gourmet but when I go looking for Mexican food, I want it simple, piled high, and swimming in salsa (enchiladas mojadas). Just wish they had mole. The young women at the cash register have always been pleasant. There are not many options in this neighborhood so I'm happy to see Castañeda's back in the game.”

The pastrami was the best I'd eaten since I moved to the area in 2019. However, I ordered it again today and it wasn't the same . The meat was darker and didn't have that same amount of flavor. Did you change where you get your pastrami?. If so, I'll have to try something else. Your friendliness and customer service was great... Sorry for part of this review but I thought you should know.”

“Go there. Eat there. The Gluten Free bread option with my meat lover's scramble was tasty and better than most bland options. Our delightful server, Jennifer, said it was from a local bakery. Sat outside and were fully shaded from the sun. Nice relaxed atmosphere and even the bathroom was a relaxing space. Good way to end our weekend before heading back home. (Bonus: there's a Comic Book shop just across the parking lot).”

“We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.

When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.

I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.

They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!”

They work so hard in very cramped quarters and now with COVID I’m sure you can imagine their stress. It’s an extremely stressful time for me and my family too...cancer, COVID, 16 hours driving away, and my home now threatened by fires. Raika came to the drive up window, refused my credit card to pay for the coffee saying that their Starbucks wanted to donate it! I’m still in shock over the kindness. I will pay it forward. It had the perfect spice and was an extremely big portion. The carne was tender and not chewy. The eggs were also perfectly done. We also tried a veggie omlete that was also cooked to perfection. Fluffy egg, not dry and tasty fresh veggies with fresh slices of avocado. Served with rice and beans that are fresh and delicious. My buddy ordered two Michelada's with Modelo and loved them!! Our waitress was also SUPER friendly and took care of us. Will be back again soon.????

“We have been to Boulevards 3 or 4 times for dinner, each time it was a great experience; service, food, and ambiance way above par...however, we had lunch for the first time a week ago this past Friday with 7 other people. While the service was good, the food was subpar...I had a professional LA Chef with us, who did not say a word, but neither he or his wife ate their lunches and I know them well enough to know they did not like it...I ordered chili, it was not very good and was luke warm, but the server took it immediately and warmed it. My partner ordered a club sandwich, it too was subpar, and another friend also ordered chili and felt as I did. While the others in the party were grandkids, the one salad looked like a bowl filled with lettuce thrown together, and not much thought at that, one had a sandwich and I looked at that, it too looked awful, and my one grandson said his lunch was good...I do not remember what he had. For a place that has no kids menu and prices are steep, everything should be served professionally. ALSO...I was in the restaurant business in LA and NYC for over 25 years and it is 2024 and time for Boulevards to have a voice mail instead of a message that askes the customer to call back when they cant answer the phone as they "are serving other customers" The customer should not have to keep calling back. By the way, I just called to make reservations for this coming Tues nite, 4 times over a 15 - 20 minute period, and each time I got this same message. We really like Boulevards for dinner, but as with all restaurants, and included my own, there is always room for improvement!”

“A take out order today had one "glitch," so I wondered if J's was slipping again. I called the restaurant and talked to the person who had sent the order out. She apologized and said there would be a credit on my next order either delivery or in the restaurant. But almost immediately, Jay, the owner, sent me an email apology increasing the credit (double the cost of the item) and saying he was sorry for the error and disappointing me. That prompt and responsive action on the part of the owner counts. Things go wrong with any restaurant or any business. I learned long ago as a customer - and as a consultant to the top execs at Fortune 500 companies - that the true measure of a company isn't how they act when things are going well (that's easy) but rather how they handle it when things go awry. Jay handled the minor mistake in my order with professionalism, responsiveness, promptness, and kindness. The order was on time, packaged perfectly, and the key thing, great food. As I said in the past, there was a period in which I saw some problems at J's, but for a while now, I have seen nothing but great food, good service, and attention to the customer. I hope others go to J's and find the same.”

“A take out order today had one "glitch," so I wondered if J's was slipping again. I called the restaurant and talked to the person who had sent the order out. She apologized and said there would be a credit on my next order either delivery or in the restaurant. But almost immediately, Jay, the owner, sent me an email apology increasing the credit (double the cost of the item) and saying he was sorry for the error and disappointing me. That prompt and responsive action on the part of the owner counts. Things go wrong with any restaurant or any business. We came here for dinner yesterday, on Friday 10/4. We were a lot , about 36 people; 7 families from LA, that went on a vacation in the Palm Desert area. My daughter chose that restaurant, and made a reservation for 20 people (that how we started this trip).
When more people decided to join us, they made their own reservations, for various different hours (whatever was available online).
On Friday, my daughter called the restaurant, and explained SEAN, the manager , that we are a big group, with different hours of reservations, but would like to dine together. I will not exaggerate if I will say that this nice and kind manager (SEAN) did EVERYTHING he could to accommodate all of us together at 8pm, and moreover, put all of us (36 people!) together in a private room. He greeted us upon arrival, and during the whole evening checked on us, to make sure everything is o.k.
Thank to him, and his wonderful crew, we had a beautiful and unforgettable evening!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding !
The vibe and the atmosphere is so happy and vibrant. The chefs are doing anything to make your experience here unique and happy.
We all enjoyed it SO much! Excellent food, with a great entertainment.
If you are visiting the Palm Desert area, do not miss this gorgeous restaurant.
To my opinion (and basically everyone in our group), it is a must visit. We couldn't have a better Friday evening anywhere else.

“We have been to Boulevards 3 or 4 times for dinner, each time it was a great experience; service, food, and ambiance way above par...however, we had lunch for the first time a week ago this past Friday with 7 other people. While the service was good, the food was subpar...I had a professional LA Chef with us, who did not say a word, but neither he or his wife ate their lunches and I know them well enough to know they did not like it...I ordered chili, it was not very good and was luke warm, but the server took it immediately and warmed it. My partner ordered a club sandwich, it too was subpar, and another friend also ordered chili and felt as I did. While the others in the party were grandkids, the one salad looked like a bowl filled with lettuce thrown together, and not much thought at that, one had a sandwich and I looked at that, it too looked awful, and my one grandson said his lunch was good...I do not remember what he had. For a place that has no kids menu and prices are steep, everything should be served professionally. ALSO...I was in the restaurant business in LA and NYC for over 25 years and it is 2024 and time for Boulevards to have a voice mail instead of a message that askes the customer to call back when they cant answer the phone as they "are serving other customers" The customer should not have to keep calling back. By the way, I just called to make reservations for this coming Tues nite, 4 times over a 15 - 20 minute period, and each time I got this same message. We really like Boulevards for dinner, but as with all restaurants, and included my own, there is always room for improvement!”
