Their Ceviche de Pescado, birria plate and torta ahogada was exceptional true to the Guadalajara style cuisine. Their drinks were perfect they didn’t skimp on the tequila and the Michi was flavorful. Definitely recommend this place! Definitely will return. The family who owns this restaurant definitely takes pride in every plate they serve. Thank you for the hospitality.”

We had the honor and the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jack. He treated us like long-lost family and we immediately loved him. He’s very gracious and kind and he made our dining experience much more memorable and happy.
I’m impressed with the atmosphere. Very chic and very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and well taken care of inside and outside.
I recommend this restaurant to the highest extent.
I look forward to returning here because it simply feels like “HOME”!

“My far away the best French restaurant in the valley. My wife and I have been coming here for the last five years since we moved in La Quinta. Food and service is always been consistently good. However, this past year it has been exceptional. The service, ambience and food have been even better than in the past. The menu is a traditional French menu. Everything on the menu is worth having. The hostess was very friendly last night. We have always asked for Evan as our server. He was out sick. We met Ray for the first time last night. Sublime service. Friendly, knew the menu inside and out. Enhanced our experience. The only complaint I have is that they will be closing for the summer in May and will not reopen until sometime in September. We will for sure be back in the fall. ”

Along with a hot Vanilla Latte, I ordered a blueberry muffin- “warm please”. It was delicious, soft and airy, with a nice amount of blueberries. It’s a good portion size and I only ate half, the rest of the portion I had the following morning… it was still fresh, soft and airy. If you have a sweet tooth for blueberries, the Blueberry Muffin is a good choice.

This location has a drive thru, the barista who took our order car side had such a great attitude, very polite and friendly. Considering the triple digit weather, his customer service was stellar!

Aside from the muffin, I ordered a hot Vanilla Latte. It was okay, it was an ordinary drink.

If you’re ever in La Quinta, I would suggest stopping by.”

“Took our neighbors for their 40th anniversary. Even though they’ve lived in the valley for multiple decades, they had never been there (which is what I had hoped so as to surprise them). Took us newbies (less than 3 years) to introduce them to one of the valley’s hidden gems. They were captivated and very impressed and appreciative of their dining experience at this lovely setting. Each of us had a different entree and everyone was super pleased with their choice. Our guest has named Melange her new favorite restaurant.”

While some establishments offer a free trinket or something on Veterans Day, the Cliffhouse offered Vets a complete dinner at absolutely no cost. If members of the Military and/or Veterans are important to you, please patronize the La Quinta Cliffhouse in the near future. They care and are the best.”

“After trying a few breakfast spots in La Quinta, we found The Bunker Bar and we stopped looking.

The views overlooking the golf course are beautiful and make for a relaxing breakfast, no matter where you’re seated. While the food presentation was simple, the flavor more than made up for it.

I ordered the egg muffin sandwich with hash browns and fresh fruit, and everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband had the All-American Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. The coffee was excellent, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and let us choose our table.

The biggest compliment I can give is that we came back every morning for the rest of our stay. If we’re ever back in La Quinta, this will definitely be our breakfast spot.”

Kristopher the manager backs up his staff in every way, which shows how he leads by example. I've worked with the public all my life, including waiting, and I know exceptional service when I experience it.

On top of all of this, the atmosphere and food are excellent.”

“We went there tonight for the first time after getting a flyer for them. The dining area is clean and nice decor but a bit crowded when navigating between tables. We were asked for our drink order right away, and it delivered quickly. The male server came to take our order but we were not quite ready yet since this was our first visit and wanted to look over the menu. The server turned and left in a huff 🙄, sorry we were putting him out… Later a different server came to take our order. Again, I felt we were putting her out as well, not very hospitable or welcoming. Our meal arrived and it was very good; we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately after the meal was delivered our server went missing in action, no check back or refill on our drinks. In fact she was so busy chatting with the table behind me that she just reached over to set the bill for the meal on our table without breaking stride in her conversation with the other table. When it was time to go we asked for to-go containers for what we had not eaten; again I felt like we interrupted her as she returned with the containers dropped them on the table, turned and walked away. Later she returned to pick up our payment, not a thank you or how was your visit just grab and go. Bottom line for us, while the food was very good, well prepared and presented. The service was very underwhelming. We will have to think about returning for a second visit.”

“Nice to have this coffee shop in old town - it’s my go to even with its flaws. The line moves fast and the baristas are great.

The coffee needs work - I’m not sure if the espresso machine needs to be dialed in or cleaned more often, but 40% of the time (and I come often) the espresso is bitter or burnt.

It’s also surprising this place has no vegan pastries available - la quinta brings in guest from everywhere so it just makes sense to have these available even if it’s only during peak season. When I make the trek to IW coffee they make some effort to have muffins and cookies that are vegan.”

“I loved their cold brew coffee! It's hard to find a place where coffee tastes so good on its own,bI didn't even need milk or sugar. My friend had the Vietnamese coffee with oat milk, and she loved it too. I recently traveled to Vietnam and drank Vietnamese coffee every day, so I was excited to find a place that does it so well. The only thing I'd love to see is a salty coffee added to the menu. 😉😘”

But compared to so many Starbucks where it's crowded and cold, this one is comfortable, beautifully decorated and has a mix of tables counters and soft upholstered chairs. It has a drive-in but the staff at the counter were extremely quick.”

“I love Panera. Sorry but I love the variety of foods, the great breads, the brocoli cheese soup, the PICK 2 options, the Apple salad, the tuna salad on a toasted bagel, and the mango smoothies. Prices have risen and the menu is till more confusing than it should be for newcomers. “When we walked in we were greeted by a very excellent server Zachary. He was extremely friendly and very patient waiting for us to decide what we want to eat. We selected the two chicken tenders and french fries to split just cause we were getting a snack while we’re waiting for our dog to get trimmed. My wife got mild and I got medium. Both were delicious. However, I will say for me as I’ve gotten older. I cannot handle the hot as well so I used to so it was probably at my limit. I enjoy the experience in the place was extremely busy.”
