“Don’t let it’s location deter you (sandwiched between Marvyn’s Magic Theater and Cinemark Century La Quinta and XD), the outside isn’t a true reflection of what you’re about to experience inside.Kiki’s strikes a perfect balance, offering a laidback yet upbeat atmosphere that doesn’t put you to sleep nor overwhelming—not easily achieved for a new restaurant to the valley. The precedence is set by the staff who are all of the things you’d hope for but don’t always find. Everyone consistently delivered welcoming interactions throughout our visit, especially our server River. While we had great conversations with him during our visit, he embodied everything that Kiki’s is striving (and successfully) standing for. And his insightful menu recommendations didn’t disappoint:What I tried and would try again and again:- The Hamachi Crudo – If this was the only dish I ordered, I still would’ve been happy.- Caesar Salad – The last time I had a Caesar Salad this fresh was homemade from a family friend, so fresh you would’ve believed they caught the anchovies themselves.- Rigatoni Bolognese – 95% of the pasta made at Kiki’s is made fresh and you can taste it. I’m choosing to believe the other 5% is modesty to disarm any skeptics.- Meatatarian Pizza – This is how pizza is supposed to taste.Reservations–I’d recommend getting them. However, if the only available seating is at the bar or high-top tables, you won’t be disappointed.Kiki’s sets itself apart from other local establishments with their thoughtfully crafted end-to-end positive experience. My first time having dinner at Kiki’s won’t be my last.“
“This is a step up from a fast food restaurant. We enjoyed surprisingly good food. The pizza, stromboli, wedge salad, brussel sprouts and meatballs were very good. They had a good selection of micro brews. We caught the last 30 min. of happy hour. Most apps were about $8 and they were full size apps. Drink prices were reduced. This is a very casual, locals spot. Service was a little understaffed but we did not suffer for it. Our server was pleasant and worked hard.“
“We ordered one of their Friday Family Meals recently. The process was very clear and easy, as was the pick-up. The food was well-packaged and good quality. We ordered one of the add-on drinks, which was delicious. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars, I would - we just felt the portion size was a bit small.“
“Rosati's Pizza is under new ownership. The last owner advertised "Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches " that was disappointing. I'm happy to report that the new owner's got the recipe right. While I've lived in California for more 50 years, I spent nearly 20 years working in Chicago where I experienced my favorite Southside Beef stand - "Al's BBQ" that was rated Chicago's favorite on Taylor Street West of Halstead Street. We've lived in La Quinta for 30 years and the closest I've come to finding an original Italian Beef Sandwich was located in Long Beach (unfortunately I do not remember the name). The man difference between a "Sliced Beef" and an "Italian Beef" is the paper-thin "shaved"beef and spices. Authentic Chicago Italian Beef is simmered in the spiced juices and piled high on an Italian Roll. Winter "Snowbirds" escaping the cold Chicago winters no longer need to travel to Long Beach for their Chicago favorite sandwich. Rosati's finally did their homework and brought Chicago's Italian Beef to the Desert. I gave Rosati's 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one point for skimping on the amount of beef served on the sandwiches I've ordered in Chicago, IMO, Rosati's has a winner but before they can claim success, they need to give California a new sandwich that satisfies the appetite as well as the budget. If you've never tried it, you're in for a treat. This is the real thing.“
“I cannot find any better pizza place. I decided to stop by Norma's Italian kitchen to order pizza for dinner. I got a medium sized pepperoni pizza with hand tossed crust. I took it home and it was super delicious. That was the best pizza I ever tasted. I definitely like to go back again.“
“My son LOVES the pizza here! We order takeout often and it's amazing every single time. I love the shrimp scampi. Literally the best scampi sauce I've ever had! Capers, wine, garlic, butter, cherry tomatoes, parsley! Just perfection! If you like shrimp scampi, this is definitely a must try!“
“Small intimate little Italian restaurant. The owners are delightful and we enjoyed their personalized service and the farmers market to menu approach. Fresh home made pasta and very unique specials of the day were a hit. We throughly enjoyed the scallop carpaccio it was delicate and delicious! Pasta is homemade so not heavy and melts in your mouth. We will be back!“
“We had a large family dinner here, 9 people total.including kids. The service was excellent, our server made the night more special with his special attention and friendly humor throughout. The food was top notch, all the pastas and main plates were delicious. We would definitely go here again. The overall ambience is special and needs to be seen.“
“As so many dining establishments are outrageously expensive, we were looking for a less expensive restaurant that still has excellent food, which we found to be the case at Sweet Basil. I had the flank steak with the small Caesar salad. Both were excellent. Steak was cooked as requested and the servicing portion was very good. The customer service was also excellent.“
“We arrived early - servers were not available to serve until 5 so we were put outside despite having requested inside seating. A few minutes later guests were being inside leaving us feeling we were lied to. The meal was incredible- service great. Really a wonderful evening tho started poorly.“
