“We ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory last Thursday and are headed back tonight. I had a sample plate of spaghetti that was absolutely delicious. Our Server was wonderful and seated us in the trolley car. Prices were reasonable and I had enough left over to enjoy again the next day.“
“Love the ambiance of patios. Service is Top-notch. Food was not as good this time. Calamari portion was skimpy. Rib eye steak was supposed to be med-rare but was medium to well done. Mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless. Did not eat more than 1 bite. Vegetables were whole carrots and broccolini, but they needed to be cooked a bit more because they were super super crunchy. So this $55 meal was very disappointing.Parking: Not a problem. Large free lot“
“Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service and an extensive menu. I have visited here many times and each time the food was consistently good and reasonably priced. I have high expectations when I dine here and have never been disappointed. It can get very busy here sometimes so I suggest coming before or after the more popular times to dine during the winter high season.“
“Food was Excellent. Service was professional and courteous ( but it took a long time for our food to come out- we all had pasta dishes, probably cooked to order) . Ambience? This is not what I would call an "ambience" restaurant, You go there to eat, not to dine.“
“The food was amazing and the service was excellent (thank you, Frank). I had the Seabass, and it was as good as I've ever had anywhere. The potatoes they served with it were off the charts. it was a rare treat to have food this good at a hotel restaurant.“
“This beautiful restaurant was nothing but amazing in every way! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, absolutely delicious. The spicy marinara sauce was such a great match. We shared a Caesar salad and the dressing was one of the best I've had. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation and it did not disappoint! We also ordered the homemade lasagna.....excellent. We will definitely return! Thank you for a great dining experience.“
“My husband, sister-in-law and I had dinner here once while visiting Palm Springs. My husband and I started with tasty minestrone soup, and my sister-in-law had salad. I had excellent penne sausage. My companions had eggplant parmigiana. They commented that there was little breading on the eggplant. All was delicious. I had a virgin strawberry daiquiri. My husband had a lemon drop martini with vodka and lemon; and my sister-in-law red wine. We split one tiramisu and one cannoli. The food tastes level 5 exquisite; I would even rate it 6 out of 5. Some mistakes were made in service: we never got the spinach we ordered, and additional requested bread. If we return to Palm Springs we may come back to this restaurant.“
“We had a large family dinner here, 9 people total.including kids. The service was excellent, our server made the night more special with his special attention and friendly humor throughout. The food was top notch, all the pastas and main plates were delicious. We would definitely go here again. The overall ambience is special and needs to be seen.“
“Small intimate little Italian restaurant. The owners are delightful and we enjoyed their personalized service and the farmers market to menu approach. Fresh home made pasta and very unique specials of the day were a hit. We throughly enjoyed the scallop carpaccio it was delicate and delicious! Pasta is homemade so not heavy and melts in your mouth. We will be back!“
“My son LOVES the pizza here! We order takeout often and it's amazing every single time. I love the shrimp scampi. Literally the best scampi sauce I've ever had! Capers, wine, garlic, butter, cherry tomatoes, parsley! Just perfection! If you like shrimp scampi, this is definitely a must try!“
“As so many dining establishments are outrageously expensive, we were looking for a less expensive restaurant that still has excellent food, which we found to be the case at Sweet Basil. I had the flank steak with the small Caesar salad. Both were excellent. Steak was cooked as requested and the servicing portion was very good. The customer service was also excellent.“
“We stumbled into Karen's Cafe during a recent trip to Palm Desert, and it's a new favorite! All of our breakfast items were amazing, from the biscuits and gravy to pancakes. I have been spoiled and do not want to have pancakes anywhere else ???“
“I love their veal piccata and their side dish of polenta. Their special carrots are very good too. Friends we took for the first time were very pleased with their lasagna and special rigatoni, prepared carbonara style. The entree sizes are just right for our appetites. The cannolis, as with all their desserts, are made daily there. Tasty!“
“Whatever Starbucks is putting into their matcha latte is causing inflammation. Either I'm allergic to the oat milk they use or the matcha tea powder mix ... or both ... so I'm finding alternatives. Sotto Voce in palm Desert has been on my radar for quite some time. Their matcha lattes are excellent quality and they don't just automatically dump vanilla syrup in it like Varraco and others do .... So they're definitely more than a cut above the rest. I put a little tiny bit of cane syrup in mine & it was perfect. This store is a bit of a challenge to get to as you have to walk through the whole mall to get to it. But the palm desert garden malls is a beautiful mall as it is open air and I could use a walk in the morning Have a Good Day“
“We have been here 3 different times over the years on our trips to the desert- came here when they first opened with our boys years ago- pizza just like we had in Italy Second time was at Christmas a couple years ago when we met family out here and wanted a place that would have something for everyone in a party of 14. Everyone loved it- mussels, calamari, pastas, pizza... Then we came here late last night after we got into town- here for our spring break get away sans kids- Sunday night, super busy, no rezzies, sat at the bar- ordered happy hour pizzas and drinks- with cannoli for the finish!! Darlings- it was ALL phenomenal! I got the prosciutto and arugula and hubby got the chicci-chicci and claimed it was amazing. I devoured my 4 slices after claiming I wasn't sure I could eat the whole thing and was probably going to take some home. Cannoli was just like the best I had in Rome by the Spanish steps! Even had a bit of orange zest!! Even sitting in the worst seats in the bar (on the end where servers pick up drinks and drop off dirty glasses) wasn't bad- servers were especially friendly and fun! Great atmosphere!! Going back this week while we are here!!“
“The service was great. Our waiter was very helpful and fun. They all went out of their way for us to have a great experience. The food was a bit on the bland side- not bad, it was good but nothing to write home about. A tad expensive for the bland taste and small portion sizes. The restaurant is not large, so it did not feel overcrowded even when the dinner rush picked up“
“Simply fantastic Italian food. Great staff, decor is a bit cheesy but that’s ok. Dessert was exquisite.Complimentary apéritif was appreciated and a fine way to cap off the meal. I am very picky about Italian food but this place was like Nonna’s.“
“Place is awesome, favorite spot for my wife and I and any friends that come into town. The only place in the desert thats reminds me of my time living in NY and the second to none Italian food. Best carbonara and chicken piccata in the desert.“
“La Spiga Ristorante offers authentic Italian dining experience with delectable dishes. Our server was friendly and helpful. I had the rigatoni with manzo and my husband had the parpadelli with buffalo meat. Both were excellent. Will definitely come back.“
“This place is the bomb. I love their sandwiches but you better get there early for a good selection. There ready to heat and serve is incredible and they have a great, kinda pricey, selection of pastas and sauces.Dietary restrictions: You can order custom items but you should do so ahead of time or they might not be able to accommodate.“
“We arrived early - servers were not available to serve until 5 so we were put outside despite having requested inside seating. A few minutes later guests were being inside leaving us feeling we were lied to. The meal was incredible- service great. Really a wonderful evening tho started poorly.“
“Don’t let it’s location deter you (sandwiched between Marvyn’s Magic Theater and Cinemark Century La Quinta and XD), the outside isn’t a true reflection of what you’re about to experience inside.Kiki’s strikes a perfect balance, offering a laidback yet upbeat atmosphere that doesn’t put you to sleep nor overwhelming—not easily achieved for a new restaurant to the valley. The precedence is set by the staff who are all of the things you’d hope for but don’t always find. Everyone consistently delivered welcoming interactions throughout our visit, especially our server River. While we had great conversations with him during our visit, he embodied everything that Kiki’s is striving (and successfully) standing for. And his insightful menu recommendations didn’t disappoint:What I tried and would try again and again:- The Hamachi Crudo – If this was the only dish I ordered, I still would’ve been happy.- Caesar Salad – The last time I had a Caesar Salad this fresh was homemade from a family friend, so fresh you would’ve believed they caught the anchovies themselves.- Rigatoni Bolognese – 95% of the pasta made at Kiki’s is made fresh and you can taste it. I’m choosing to believe the other 5% is modesty to disarm any skeptics.- Meatatarian Pizza – This is how pizza is supposed to taste.Reservations–I’d recommend getting them. However, if the only available seating is at the bar or high-top tables, you won’t be disappointed.Kiki’s sets itself apart from other local establishments with their thoughtfully crafted end-to-end positive experience. My first time having dinner at Kiki’s won’t be my last.“
“This is officially my favorite restaurant in old town Palm Springs. I love the chicken Marsala, any type of pasta, and never forget their tiramisu. My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time in this beautiful place recently and I've been coming here for years with my family.“
“My party of 4 dined here on a Sunday evening. so happy to see that this new restaurant was full! We were there for the multitude of plant based options on their menu and we were not disappointed! I had the plant based risotto, which I loved, and my husband had the polenta dish that he also enjoyed. our Omni friends enjoyed their dishes as well. so glad to have another local restaurant where vegans can go for a nice dinner.“
“My mother in law wanted to go here for her birthday. It didn't look too impressive from the outside in a strip mall, but it had great ambience once inside. The service was perfect, friendly and efficient. The rack of lamb was delicious and the Hungarian dishes that my wife and mother in law had were authentic, per my MIL. We will definitely eat here again“
“The place looks more expensive than it is with Italian decor of hand-painted walls of people and places of Italy. The food is delicious - I had a nice salad and two slices of New York style pizza. My server was perfect in being there at the right time with the right attitude and the right thing, being both unobtrusive and available, which is not an easy skill to master and shows the caliber of training and attention to detail. Bravisimo!“
“Our group of 10 ladies enjoyed a quiet lunch on the patio here following a visit to the Galen Artists Center. The food and the service could not have been better! Complimentary bread (that real Italian unsalted bread!) and breadsticks were served with tapenade. I ordered the prosciutto melon appetizer (1/2) and the lunch special entree of white fish and string beans. Both were great! Most items on the menu are available in half portions. Our server was charming, attentive , and kind. He was fine with separate checks, even for a party of our size! I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Mario's Italian Café is one of a small chain of Italian restaurants in the Coachella Valley. Everyone in my party of eight was quite satisfied with their food choices. I had the daily special NY pizza slices with additional toppings and an accompanying salad. Can't be the $5.00 glass of Chianti wine!“
“I'm impatient . But I'm not stupid . I like to order ahead of time like today. Just to beat the wait time by getting ready and getting in my car and driving and picking up my phone to call it in. .not only is it so simple . But does it always come out 110% every time . Never dissatisfied . Call me a fat ass I could care less . With such delicious food as simple as spaghetti and meatballs with a few garlic buttered toasts . You cannot go wrong . And I'm not gonna say I'm a critic or anything . But out of the many Mario's around . I recommend the Palm Springs, Bermuda dunes, I haven't tried the one in Palm desert or the one on Varner by Stater bros but not trying to throw too much shade . The Indio one was exceptional . The service and ambiance was equivalent to the ones I have been to . But the food was not . Not only did I feel as though I was skimped out on my portions but do I feel I was stolen from . Cause they charge the same price as the great ones like this one i am commenting on . But they did not serve it to my basic requirements . It was cold for mine and my girlfriends . And although she was kind. Our server . She was rushing and in a hurry and to me meant they were understaffed . None the less I only expect improvement from them if they want to continue business but who am I right lol . Also here is a pic of my empty large spaghetti and meatballs . I don't care . I'd pay twice the amount they charge me for what they give me for they are to kind of. God bless your Mario's Italian cafe .“
“I moved here full-time a few months ago. We wanted to try an Italian restaurant we'd never been before. Ristorante Gina's popped up. I was a bit leary of the reviews saying the food lack taste but we gave it a go. Ristorante Gina's did. NOT disappoint. The service was friendly. We did not have reservations (which I highly recommend), so we got on their walk-in waitlist and were seated accordingly. I'm pleasantly surprised at the portions and pricing of their dishes. The portions were moderate and pricing was fair. Too many restaurants fill your plate and over charge. In my opinion, everything was "on-point". Thank you for a lovely Monday night evening.“
“We stopped by for dinner on a snowbird trip from Colorado to Palm Springs almost a decade ago. Al Dente has become our favorite dinner restaurant - excellent food, great service (most recently we appreciate the high level of service provided by Gonzalo.) Great martinis?-Check. Outdoor dining and people watching? - Check. Total value? - Check. Feeling a special experience? - Check Check. We plan to keep coming back.“
“Service was poor at the beginning of our dinning experience. Server seemed perturbed at our requests. They got better after we said something. Food was superb. We will go again but if service remains the same we will go to another Italian restaurant“
“There are more sandwiches to choose from than the spicy Tuscan I picked. The case is full of meat, cheeses, and salads. The bread is fantastic, not grocery store bread, baked right there bread. You can smell the real Italian food when you walk in. They even have groceries if you want to cook at home. Can't wait to return.“
“I cannot find any better pizza place. I decided to stop by Norma's Italian kitchen to order pizza for dinner. I got a medium sized pepperoni pizza with hand tossed crust. I took it home and it was super delicious. That was the best pizza I ever tasted. I definitely like to go back again.“
