“Eight Desert Divas dined at Sí Bon Restaurant in Rancho Mirage on Thursday. We were celebrating one of our own lovely Diva's birthday. We made reservations ahead of time (thankfully) because they were VERY busy. It is a popular place. The service was excellent. The menu was great. They offer a summer menu which includes a three course dinner for $32. They also have a happy hour menu. I ordered the meat loaf dinner and it was delicious and plentiful. Others selected steak with fries, tacos, mussels, and a few other items. There were no complaints at all. They even brought out a birthday chocolate mousse with a candle and 8 individual spoons to honor our birthday girl. Our server was wonderful and he gave us separate checks (which we always appreciate). It was definitely a special night and we highly recommend Sí Bon. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. You won't be disappointed.“

“I’m so thrilled to have found this place. Most authentic Thai food restaurant in the valley. They even had one of my most favorite dishes from Northern Thailand, called Khao Soi. Oh and if you order the Phad se ew, have it with the crispy pork as the protein.“

“Amazing food, and a possible catastrophic experience gone better than expected.
Was seated by Mary, quite a gracious hostess, to place a small appetizer order while waiting for a take out order.
While waiting for my food, I clumsily spilled my glass of red wine all over their white table cloth. Embarrassed isn't even the word! Mary, Jose and Eddie were amazing! Even brought me another glass. That's TRUST. 😆
And, to top it off, my calamari appetizer, and take out order was beyond superb.
Wonderfully appointed decor, great friendly service, outstanding food and a welcoming environment sums up all!
Said, if your going to knock over a glass of red on a white table cloth, this is the place!

“I came here recently with my friends and their two small kids, and we had a great time!
At some point in the meal one of the kids must have knocked my sunglasses off of my shirt and under the table and I didn’t notice. I called 4-5 days later when I realized that’s where they must have gone missing and this very nice fella named Chris answered the phone. I told him my story and asked if he could check lost and found and it turns out they had them! I told him I lived in Joshua Tree so it might be a minute before I get out there again but asked if he could hold them for me….he mentioned that he was coming up to JT later in the week for an event and offered to bring them up for me(this is about a 45 min drive)! It was way above and beyond the call of duty. I met him at the event and sure enough he showed up with my sunglasses! Such a nice dude, and such a kind thing to do! I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Had the Coachella sandwich, so fresh (did I mention how fresh the food is?) and crispy. The lemon poppy- moist and delicious with a slightly crunchy top. Cinnamon loaf- nice consistency, not too sweet. I was driving home and the wife and I almost turned around to get another Coachella! Nice girls too!“

“It's a beautiful place, and our server, Selena is fabulous - very attentive and made us feel very welcome, with just the right mix of professionalism, efficiency and humor. The food was just OK - nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. I was with 5 friends, and we had a fun time.“

“Food is good. Red Menudo is delicious! Highly recommend it. The chili oil they make in house is phenomenal has a great taste. Also got the pancake plate it was very good the kids got the chicken tenders they were also good very fresh. Ranch taste like mayo that’s probably the worst thing I could say about this place. 10/10 will be back.“

“We are here for lunch to celebrate my birthday, delightful service from a lady server Susan whose recommendations were sublime, great view of the fountain lake, had delicious sizzling chili sauce pork dumpling (best dumpling you ever had in your life), Chang’s lettuce wraps, succulent garlic fried noodles, refreshing cucumber salad, divine lobster and prawn fried rice, very crispy banana spring roll dessert (ask for vanilla ice cream instead). “My husband and I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Waters Cafe, and I felt compelled to leave a review because good service deserves to be recognized.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest young host. I believe his name was Julian, It’s becoming harder to find young people with such wonderful manners these days, but Julian was kind, patient, and welcoming. He greeted everyone with a smile, made us feel right at home.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and relaxing, our server was outstanding as well.

We’ll certainly be back, and I hope Waters Cafe knows what a wonderful employees they have. Five stars all around!“

“This isn’t an absolute hidden jewel in Palm Desert. I have been going here for years and the war wonton soup, chicken with Snow peas and cashew chicken is the absolute best! I’m sure the other dishes are just as amazing but these are so great that I get them every time. These people deserve a much higher rating than they’ve been given. Also, the service is very personal and very sweet. And the atmosphere is very quiet and very Chinese. It is my little getaway. I hope it becomes yours…“

“This place is 5 star in every respect. I can't find a place in the Valley that serves beef ribs. While placing an order on the phone, I asked the guy helping me if there was a chance Dickey's could serve them one day a week as a special. He suggested I could bring my own store bought beef ribs in to his location and he would smoke them for me.

“I had passed by this buffet several times a day but finally decided to stop in and I'm glad I did. This was my first visit, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Our group of five was seated right away, which made a great first impression.
The food selection was impressive:

everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. I especially recommend the baked mussels, white steamed fish, and dumplings-they stood out the most. The service was also great, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back.“
