“Visiting from Phoenix & stumbled upon this spot today. We’re very happy we did! Came in for happy hour and enjoyed the French onion soup with a cab franc. We’re very picky about our French onion soup & this was excellent! We appreciate the selection of French wine. Ray, the bartender, is very knowledgeable about French wine and helpful in selecting a bottle. Great company at the bar as well. This spot is a hidden gem!“

“Burgers and Beer is a cool spot I found nearby EOS. The place looked pretty big from the outside, so I asked my partner if she wanted to do an early dinner. I noticed they have daily specials, but be mindful that they usually serve from 11-3, and after that, the happy hour menu takes over till 6.
We originally came for the tuesday burger deal, but we arrived after 3, we still ordered a burger and decided to try the machaca chimichangas from the HH menu. The service was great, thanks Javier. I really appreciated the variety, not just food and beers, but sports on TV too.
The only thing was that the bottom bun of the burger was very soggy, our server joked its gravity’s fault...
Maybe adding a crisp, dry lettuce layer underneath could help. Overall, great vibes and a fun place to chill and hang out.“

“Took our neighbors for their 40th anniversary. Even though they’ve lived in the valley for multiple decades, they had never been there (which is what I had hoped so as to surprise them). Took us newbies (less than 3 years) to introduce them to one of the valley’s hidden gems. They were captivated and very impressed and appreciative of their dining experience at this lovely setting. Each of us had a different entree and everyone was super pleased with their choice. Our guest has named Melange her new favorite restaurant.“

“It was our first time eating at the La Quinta location. I'm not sure if it's because they're still getting adjusted, but the food was just ok. Nothing that stands out. However, the service was great. Our servers, Jessica and Julian, were amazing. Super accommodating and friendly.“

“Small location in la quinta and good pizza - what really got me was charging extra to make the pizza a true chicago deep dish pizza by an extra 2$? isn’t the standard supposed to be chicago deep dish already? you set the menu and prices why is extra. pizza was good but i didn’t pay extra so i got the flat crust“

“I have eaten at this place before but it’s been quite some time The food is still as good as I remember. I had the pho tai chin which was amazing. And my wife had cam chien wish the serving size was large enough that she could have the other half for dinner. Servers and everyone that works there was extremely helpful and nice. Without a doubt, I’ll be back again.“

“Wanted to send a shout out to the La Quinta Cliffhouse for their generosity and kindness towards us Veterans on Veterans Day. While some establishments offer a free trinket or something on Veterans Day, the Cliffhouse offered Vets a complete dinner at absolutely no cost. If members of the Military and/or Veterans are important to you, please patronize the La Quinta Cliffhouse in the near future. They care and are the best.“

“Rolls are HUGE this could be good or bad depending on your preference but no matter what you order it’s going to be a delicious and each dish definitely puts on a show ! The place is small and cozy and service is good. The only thing I do stay away from here is the lemonade never had a lemonade taste so synthetic and fake. Over all this is a great establishment with rolls that have personality.“

“We went there tonight for the first time after getting a flyer for them. The dining area is clean and nice decor but a bit crowded when navigating between tables. We were asked for our drink order right away, and it delivered quickly. The male server came to take our order but we were not quite ready yet since this was our first visit and wanted to look over the menu. The server turned and left in a huff 🙄, sorry we were putting him out… Later a different server came to take our order. Again, I felt we were putting her out as well, not very hospitable or welcoming. Our meal arrived and it was very good; we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately after the meal was delivered our server went missing in action, no check back or refill on our drinks. In fact she was so busy chatting with the table behind me that she just reached over to set the bill for the meal on our table without breaking stride in her conversation with the other table. When it was time to go we asked for to-go containers for what we had not eaten; again I felt like we interrupted her as she returned with the containers dropped them on the table, turned and walked away. Later she returned to pick up our payment, not a thank you or how was your visit just grab and go. Bottom line for us, while the food was very good, well prepared and presented. The service was very underwhelming. We will have to think about returning for a second visit.“

“My husband and I decided to stop in to Red Robin in La Quinta about 2 weeks ago since we have not been there for many years due to our diet. We had a great experience with our server, Edwin. He was the best....on top of everything and more!! We were craving your onion rings and hamburgers, which we do not eat very often....so it was treat. We had to share both items due to our small appetites. We were impressed with how the split was done - different from other restaurants and thanked Edwin as well. It truly made us feel special and with the follow-up and service Edwin provided, we will return more often, and, coming back next week with friends. Thank you!!

“Thursday morning. Meeting at 10AM. Coffee first, obviously.
Somebody suggested Louise’s Pantry and honestly… from the outside I almost missed it. Looks more like offices than a breakfast place. Just a sign on the building and that’s about it. I probably drove past it before and never even noticed.
Then you walk in and the whole feeling changes immediately.
Noise. Coffee cups clanking. Older locals talking across tables. Servers flying around the room somehow without making the place feel stressful. Real breakfast spot energy. Not “designed for Instagram” energy. Big difference.
I told the hostess I was waiting for somebody for a business meeting and needed a minute before sitting down. She instantly got it and put us in a quieter corner away from the middle of the room. Small thing, but honestly that already told me enough about this place.
People here pay attention.
And somehow they managed that balance that almost nobody gets right anymore. Nobody bothered us every five minutes, nobody interrupted conversations, nobody hovered around pretending to be attentive. But every single time the coffee got low, somebody appeared. I stopped counting after maybe the fifth refill.
That kind of service is disappearing everywhere now.
Food came out fast. Huge portions too. Not fake “brunch aesthetic” portions where you leave hungry and take photos of flowers on the plate. Real breakfast.
The French toast was honestly ridiculous in the best way. Thick slices, powdered sugar everywhere, crispy edges, bacon on the side. Looked like the kind of breakfast you see in old American movies where somebody’s dad reads the newspaper at the kitchen table. Hard to explain, but yeah… it had that feeling.
The biscuits and gravy with hash browns completely finished me after that. Good way. Heavy breakfast. Comfortable breakfast. I already knew halfway through there was no chance I was finishing everything there.
First time in a while I actually packed food to go.
What surprised me most though wasn’t even the food. It was how relaxed the whole place felt. Nobody trying too hard. Nobody acting trendy. No fake “modern brunch culture” vibe. Just people doing their jobs properly and making customers feel welcome.
Breakfast for two ended up around $57 before tip. Honestly fair. Especially for California at this point.
I’ll 100% come back here.
Not because it’s the fanciest breakfast spot in the desert. It’s not.
It just feels real. And lately that’s becoming weirdly hard to find.“
