“First time here, was looking for a highly rated Sushi Restaurant. There is a full bar, with bright mirror like gold trim. The menu itself is well rounded, with a choice of delicious sounding items for the palate. Try the Broccoli Chips for a tasty starter. The classic California Roll is alway a favorite. I enjoyed the Baked Clams with Salmon, delicious!
The staff is efficient and friendly.
Parking can be difficult to find. Free parking structure about 1 block away. Will definitely stop again when in Palm Springs.“

“Easy to customize and select “vegan”. The fresh rolls with tofu were substantial and yummy. Pineapple in the curry was fresh (not canned) and a perfect compliment to the tofu. The sauces were unique and just the right level of spice (we picked “2”). The brown rice was also nutty and fresh! Updated from previous review on 2026-07-19“

“We checked this place out because it was across the street from our hotel.. pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Sushi was extremely fresh (considering it’s in the middle of a dessert we were unsure at first) but absolutely delicious!!!!! This restaurant is small and perfect for date night. Great food, great atmosphere and great sushi/crudo! A little on the pricey side but completely worth it.“

“Sushi Bella in Desert Hot Springs was such an unexpected find…honestly, some of the best sushi I’ve had in California, and I cannot believe I found it all the way out in the desert.
Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The nigiri was beautifully cut and buttery, the specialty rolls were generous without being overloaded, and the crispy shrimp hand roll was ridiculously satisfying. Even with some of the richer sauces and toppings, the fish still remained the star of the meal.
It’s a small, unassuming spot, which somehow makes the experience even better. You walk in expecting a casual neighborhood sushi restaurant and end up having a meal that easily competes with places I’ve eaten at in Los Angeles.
Fresh fish, great portions, really delicious combinations, and absolutely worth seeking out if you’re anywhere near Desert Hot Springs or Palm Springs. This was one of those wonderful food discoveries that makes traveling so much fun. I will 100% be back.“
