“Was in town recently and needed some dinner after a long day on the road. After giving the menu a couple read throughs I opted for the Forever with You roll and an order of the Vegetarian eggrolls. The service was professional, friendly and kind. My to go order was packed securely and with attention to details, including everything you might need in the package. The food was okay. The egg rolls (3 to an order) were crispy and golden brown, but the veggies were way over cooked, just mushy on the inside. The Forever with You roll was good, a nice large roll and very crunchy with nice texture and consistency throughout the roll, double ended shrimp tempura style. Sweet and spicy. A decent choice for my night there, and served its purpose. Had better and also had worse. 3.5 Stars rounded up because of the staffs attention to the details. 00941“
“My husband and I were visiting Palm Springs again and somebody mentioned that we should try this place. It was so delicious, the sushi, edamame, potstickers, everything, and the staff was amazing and kept checking on us every few minutes. Everybody was so nice! Would highly recommend this place. Very reasonable prices as well.“
“Thanks for offering so many vegan plant based options on your menu. We got drunken noodles, yellow curry and fresh spring rolls. All were excellent fresh and good size portions. Did take out and food was ready on time. Restaurant looked busy as well.“
“Taka Shin restaurant exceeded all expectations! The sushi was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the expertly crafted rolls, every bite was a culinary delight. A definite must-visit for sushi lovers!“
“This little sushi bar is located in downtown Palm Springs close to the Marilyn Monroe statue. The people who work here are amazing. I was traveling alone and ate at the bar. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. The sushi was good, but not as traditional as I like—they used a little too much mayo for my taste. I had a spicy tuna roll (my go to) and edamame, which was tasty. The service and atmosphere was great.“
“This was a quick and easy spot to grab some sushi, and poke.Parking in downtown Palm springs can sometimes be challenging, but this restaurant was easy to get in and get seated, the food was served quickly and was delicious, and the service was delightful. The location is very close to the art museum, and close to all of the activities for the Thursday night festivals downtown. We enjoyed the jalapeno stuffed bites to start, and then ordered a variety of rolls and sushi bowls to enjoy and share amongst group. It was the perfect amount of food and everybody was very good. The staff and service were delightful, there when we needed them and left us to dine when we were busy with our food. There are dozens of restaurants in this area. If you are in the mood for poke, or just need a quick place to sit down and feel comfortable and unrushed this would be a terrific choice.“
“One of the best meals we had in Palm Springs, and frankly some of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The food is beautiful to look at, but more importantly, each part contributes to complex flavors and textures. Our server was fantastic, friendly, and had some great recommendations.“
“Hostess was very friendly & attentive, great suggestions, the sushi was great, saki refreshing & music was fun. I'd bet this is the best sushi in town hands down! ???My only suggestion would be to have the sushi chef wear a mask when he's prepping food ???UPDATE: Came back 3/15/24*Hostess was still very friendly & still attentive, still had great suggestions, the sushi was very good, saki refreshing & music remains fun.THE best sushi in town hands down! ???“
