Kyala Sushi is a wonderful place serving Japanese sushi and other foods. I had a good time sitting at the counter and asking the chefs about their lives as well as another time when my mom ordered a multi-course plate of different assortments of sushi. My grandma also had her birthday here before and it's just a great small establishment that focuses on authentic Japanese. It may just be a bit hard to find, but it is truly an amazing experience for dining. 🍣

Absolutely delicious sushi! There were many different types of fresh fish, directly from Japan, and each piece was expertly prepared. The chef was incredibly kind and very friendly, taking time to explain each dish and making the experience feel personal and warm. The quality and variety were top-notch—truly an authentic Japanese experience. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great sushi and genuine hospitality!

Really amazing foo, fresh seafood and delicately prepared dishes.
We sat at the bar and had the chance to chat with the chef, who was clearly passionate and proud of their craft.
A great spot to hang out with friends, too - relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

I had a chirashi lunch set today — and it was absolutely outstanding. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. The portion size was good, making it a deeply satisfying and fulfilling meal. The set also included a comforting bowl of miso soup, a crisp, refreshing salad, and a silky-smooth chawanmushi that added an elegant, savory touch to the overall experience. Everything was well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something fresh, flavorful, and good service.

Best restaurant run by the best couple. Mori-san has been a sushi chef for over 25+ years, and now runs this place with his wife. They serve the freshest fish, and will only serve their customers the best. I followed Mori-san from various establishments and I will continue to go to his restaurant. I have taken family there and they always make it a must to come here when they visit from the Bay Area. You really can't beat their prices for such high quality food and great customer service.

A Truly Heartfelt Japanese Dining Experience
Dining at Kyala Sushi was more than just a meal—it felt like being gently transported back to Japan.
Every dish carried a quiet kind of beauty, full of care and intention.

Chef Manabu Moriguchi’s kappo-style approach brings out the soul of each ingredient. From the freshness of the sashimi to the lightness of the tempura, the balance and technique were simply moving. It reminded me of meals I’ve had back home, with the same quiet respect for tradition and seasonality.

The omakase course was a joy—not just delicious, but full of little surprises that made us smile. Even the way each dish was presented made us feel cared for.

What touched me most was the warmth of the people here. They were so kind to our child, offering a thoughtful kids’ menu and even making special off-menu items with a smile. That level of attention and heart is rare.

Kyala feels like a quiet treasure—humble, genuine, and full of soul.
I almost want to keep it secret… but I’m glad places like this still exist.

We come in 1pm with party of 5 and wait for 40 minutes .the restaurant is not busy. They keep asking us for sushi bar .it seems they don’t care about us or no trained staff. The food is normal ,Anyway I will not recommend it at all.😤

Worst service I have ever received!!! Tried calling several times to place phone ordet!! Useless they Never answer they calls. Had to order in person which was Worse . I waited over 1 hour to receive my order. There excuse was it busy night. Not my fault. After all that when I told them I wanted my money now my order is Ready after 1 hour. And all they gave me was a $5 discount . Are you Serious. Don't eat there unless you want to waste your time there!!

Food is Below average . The hamachi was loaded with salt. Sashimi was not fresh. The salad dressing was oily and salty. The service was okay but we felt pushed to leave the table for new customers . Will not be back .

I am pretty sure the owner should remember us, 4/4/2025, Friday 7 30 pm. We were party of 7 adults and 2 kids, waited 1 hour. Our order was 3 nigiri deluxe, 1 chirashi deluxe, rolls, 4 uni special, 2 beers, kids meal, plain udon, 4 appetizers. Until 40 minutes waiting, we only had kids meal, udon, beers, 2 appz, I asked to check our order twice, not worked. Then I was upset since some food was served to the customers seated after us.

Finally I said to server, to cancel our orders, we would leave. The serve's reply was cool. 'OKAY', right away, gladly. That great server was never care, also it seems female owner was never care. One of the chefs came and said sorry, but we could not seat again, that was around 8 40 pm.

I've lived in Diamond Bar for 24 years, and remember the ownership change of this business twice.
Anyhow, I know your business is doing well with a great server, and I am just one of customers.
