Pleasant service, fair prices, not a long wait usually, and good amount of food for the money. Two big screen TVs always playing live sports. Bar that seats five people. Squeaky clean bathroom. Parking can be full right in front during peak lunch and dinner hours but since it's right next to Smart & Final the grocery store parking lot is always open.

I actually adore this place. I live 2 hours away and drive my sister to University every other day. I was blessed enough to treat myself to some sushi and my goodness!! The portions are amazing, the taste is out of this world fresh, and the service is impeccable!!! I will be coming again and recommending this place. I work in Sushi as well, this place is nothing like the place I work at!! So amazing❤️

Love this place. If you looking for delicious high grade sushi, come to Heemo sushi. Best place.
One of my go to sushi spots in Duarte. The staff is super friendly, the place is immaculately clean, tons of options and most importantly the food is GOOD.Only downside is that only a third of the menu actually has prices which is a huge disadvantage when deciding what to eat on a budget. While this can't be any type of destination in the cuisine dense landscape of Los Angeles to stand competition against any high-tier sushi operation, I can't fathom what benefit a customer would have not knowing what they are paying for and letting the restaurant,"rake you over the coals" so to speak when the check comes so shame shame on you Hemmo.Otherwise, order at your own risk⚠️.

The workers are all so kind! Especially the woman with the bob. She was very beautiful on the inside and out. You can tell she wanted you to just have a good time eating there. My friends and I came and she was so sweet to all of us. Thank you for being sweet to us and letting us have a good time. :)

We are from Las Vegas and came to visit The City of Hope. We asked the doctor if my husband could have sushi and he said before chemo...yes. After chemo...not for 6 months. We left CoH and promptly went to Heemo, one of several sushi restaurants in the area. My husband just picked one. This place is wonderful! The food was phenomenal, they were very accommodating (we got spicy garlic edamame...I don't do heat, but husband does so they put the heat on the side) and everyone was so attentive, especially the owner. We will be visiting the CoH regularly for the next 6 months. While husband can't eat anything raw, he can eat the bento box, which I had with the teriyaki salmon. I can honestly say I've never had such great salmon! Thank you Heemo....we'll see you again!
