I just discovered this Cake Shop on 3-15-24. Very cute shop, service is excellent, presentation of cupcakes is excellent and they taste great too!I haven't tried their made to order cakes yet.They opened in 2013. I wish I'd discovered this shop long ago. ♡Parking: Storefront is hard to see from the street as the building faces West but there's plenty of parking in front.

My husband and I ordered a small wedding cake with them and honestly I couldn't be happier!!! The cake came out beautiful!!! Just like how we discussed and the photos I emailed her the cake is SPOT ON! I wish I took a better photo cause it just doesn't do it justice! I also had a cake tasting with them! ALL THE CAKES ARE DELICIOUS!!! They were also super generous with the cake tasting portions too! The lovely lady who I placed the order with made our experience super fun! Honestly I found my cake spot for all my party needs!!!

I had a terrible experience with this cake bakery. Despite reaching out less than 24 hours before my event to cancel the order, they failed to communicate or accommodate my request. The lack of responsiveness and customer service is extremely disappointing. I made an order five days ago via online form, but their lack of professionalism and failure to communicate less than a day before my event left me with no options. It's a complete letdown, and I won't be recommending them to anyone and I won't be returning.Edit: The way to place an order is via an online form in which it states I shall receive a response within 24 hours. This was placed on Monday. I received an email today (11/24) before the event stating they will not be able fulfill the order due to it being a Holiday. Which is acceptable and I completely understand... What is not acceptable, is not receiving a response on 11/21, 11/22, or 11/23 stating it cannot be completed. Therefore giving a reasonable amount of time to make arrangements elsewhere. This review is in regard to the service, NOT THE FOOD. Im sure the food may be great. However, the service needs improvement.

Was looking to order a cake & found Sweet Nothings Cake Shop on Yelp. I visited her bakery to buy cupcakes to try before ordering. The cupcakes were so good and fresh that I decided to order my boyfriends birthday cake. Isabelle & her staff were very helpful from the start, even gave me recommendations. I ordered the lemon cake with raspberry mousse filling. The cake flavor was on point and delicious, it raspberry mousse filling paired perfect with the lemon. He loved the cake, I certainly loved the cake and the guests did too. I was asked my many where I got it. I found my cake spot!!! I 10000% recommend!!!!!!

Sorry but nope. I'm only giving stars because the staff is a bit nice. I tried a few things from here and only one thing was good. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it wasn't terrible. Not worth the price or the distance from my house in Whittier. The cupcakes are expensive for the size and for how non tasty they are. The frosting has an oily taste to it. The cake is moist but it doesn't have the best flavor. I had a chocolate and strawberry cheesecake flavored one. Nope. Lastly, I tried out a brookie. It was just ok. Not worth 4.50. I've had better ones at 7-11. I will not be coming back here. Sorry.

This review is solely on their cupcakes and not CAKES. I have had their cupcakes two times and find nothing out of the ordinary special about them.I appreciate the effort in this area, however, I would love to feel as if the cupcake shop was more original? The cakes taste like box cakes and the frostings are meh. I guess a lot of these shops use box cakes... is this the norm? If they aren't I would be very surprised... The frosting to cake ratio is off for me too but that's a preference I guess... too much frosting and not enough cake. For the quality, these cupcakes are definitely overpriced.Customer service was okay. Both times I've gone it was dead and we were the only customers and the person seemed rushed and like they wanted us to hurry up so they could go back to the store.I hate to leave a low star review but I guess in this area people are okay with mediocre since there are no other real competitors around (I know there are a few but also felt the same about those shops). It was an underwhelming experience overall. Would give lower stars but don't want to be attacked for my honest review but the people thinking this place is a 5 star. Go to Walmart or Ralph's to get cupcakes... save your money on these ones. Oh yeah. Second day cupcakes in the fridge were so dry. First day fresh we're not as moist as I remembered from trying the first time.

Found sweet Nothings Cake Shop when I was looking for a shop that would do cake toppers at a reasonable price. I got in touch with Isabel, she was very responsive and quick. Placed an order a month in advance and they were able to accommodate with my request. Came to pick up the topper and in amaze of how modern and nice the shop looked, it was very clean, well organized, simple and welcoming. Also tried two of their mini cupcakes red velvet and cookies and cream ($2.50 each) they were delicious, not too sweet and the cream is well paired the cake itself was fluffy and airy. Will definitely recommend and will be coming back to try the rest of the cupcakes flavors. It's a 9/10 for me!

I was the worst bakery customer, ever: TWO days notice, vague design ideas, changed my mind on flavor AFTER the original was baked, ran late for pick up. Was Isabel the least bit annoyed? Not to my face, she wasn't. Kind, calm, soothing - transforming life's chaos into transcendent desserts. The occasion was my daughter-in-law's rainy day birthday and she is crazy homesick for Sofia. The picture I sent of traditional Bulgarian embroidery is beautifully interpreted in cake, every stitch painstakingly recreated in icing. Heavenly flavor, texture, and aroma to match. Duarte? No matter how far you have to drive the gas/charge will be worth it for the best cake you've had in your entire life.

Truly a hidden treasure! This is our go-to spot for EVERY special occasion. Isabel has everything you need to impress your loved ones on their special day. Everything we've had from Sweet Nothings has been dangerously good -- cakes, cupcakes, cookies, -- you name it!Isabel herself is super sweet and is a home grown resident. My daughter wanted something simple and dainty to go with her vintage rose theme. We ordered the lemon cake with cream cheese filling. It was not loaded with sugar and you can tell by the taste that it was made with the utmost quality.
