We and other unknown family arrived at the restaurant which was empty, the OPEN advice placed and they simply said they were closed. Lack of commitment with customer care, simply does not deliver which they promise. No, I don’t recommend this place.

The appetizers were good but they messed up two of my families steaks and all of our food was cold. The waiter was rude and they did not have seasonings for their food. We ate a plain steak and a plain potato because they were out of seasonings. All I can say is to never come to this place.

Disgusting utterly pathetic I have no words to describe how bad this was. I ordered steak and it came burned. I sent it back and they gave it to me bloody, why can’t they get it right? Also all the food was unseasoned I asked for pepper and they didn’t have it. I’m not going here again and neither should

The purpose of this additional review is to strongly encourage you to treat yourself to delicious Mediterranean dishes at this restaurant. While it’s lovely having the restaurant all to ourselves at munch time, I can’t help thinking that so many people are missing out. Better babaganoush you probably won’t savor anywhere served with fluffy, fresh, pillowy pita bread. We enjoyed the vegetarian moussaka version. The servers are so friendly and the atmosphere in the room is relaxing with lovely music in the background. We need to support these family businesses in the communities where/near we live. They have a Sunday brunch buffet that we look forward to trying too.

First review of any kind in my life: such a courteous owner/chef, great food (quantity and quality) - you can tell the effort and details behind every dish, the layers of fresh ingredients in the salad, the flavor and fluffiness of rice, the tenderness of kebabs, the way each dish is presented... It really makes you want to sit down and enjoy a gourmet experience instead of rushing for takeouts like most of the other restaurants.

We had steak and chicken shawarma. Both were great. Fresh and flavorful. Great service by Chef, Omar!

Delicious baba ghanoush and falafel wrap, and affordable! Our server was the chef, and he was very welcoming.

Stoped by the Halal market and decided to get some food. The waiter appeared to be the only one working but hustled around help everyone in a timely manner. Food was amazing, service was great, ambiance was very nice and upscale. I will definitely 45 minutes to experiance this again.

I'm so upset I've never tried this place before! I've been working in the area for a while now and finally had a craving for mediterranean food for lunch and decided to give Amalfi a try. Parking was easy, sharing the lot with the market next door and Taco Bell. Walked in and was promptly greeted and seated by the friendly and kind server-- i forgot to ask for their name but they were great!I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap since it's my go-to order anywhere- and it was really good! At first I was skeptical at the presentation, but after taking my first bite, I was blown away and didn't mind the "wrap" being cutThe tenderness of the chicken went beautifully with the onion, pickles, and garlic sauce. I couldn't stop telling my friend: "this is SO good!"I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't busier during the lunch hour as my table was the only one there, but there was a handful of take out orders coming in and out so I'm glad :-) I'll definitely be back to try other items! So glad I found this place!

I ordered the beef burger, which I know is not Mediterranean, but I have had some great burgers at Mediterranean and Persian before. After waiting, and waiting, and waiting, I was about to get up to inquire about my food when it finally showed up. The meat was well-done & hard - no juice, the bun toasted nearly black and the fries hard. I got through about 1/3rd of the burger then decide to leave. My guess is that the cook forgot about my order, which may explain the wait and condition of my order. Additionally, there were only three other tables with customers.I worked in the food business for many years, and I know things happened. But, in this case, who ever cooked my order should have realized the mistake and start a new one. I will likely go back but that will not be for awhile, and what I order will be Mediterranean food.

First time here. Expertly prepared Chicken Shistawook, off skewer. Cooked just right, not too dry. The vegetables were also sauteed just right. Friendly service, but it did take about 40 minutes for the food to arrive, even though we were the only two people in the restaurant at lunchtime on a Wednesday. Perfection can't be rushed I guess. The other person had a Lamburger and fries, both excellent as well. I look forward to returning to try more dishes on the large menu.

TL:DR - Just another restaurant run by an egotistical owner who thinks they have the best food in the world. Automatic gratuity for party of 4+ and babies count as full heads. Food is mediocre at best. It’s not worth the price. Stay away.Service was good. The waitress was nice and helpful. The food aside from the Mediterranean plate was terrible. The beef Kufta was burnt and the beef kebab was well over done and tasted like rubber even though medium was requested (they asked how I wanted the kebabs done)When we told our waitress she offered to remake but we didn’t want to wait that long because we had a baby with us. I asked they comp us or give us a bit of a discount and she said no problem. When the ticket came, there was a total of $4.25 discount on an otherwise $95 ticket for 4 dishes.I asked the manager there as to why and he said that’s what the kitchen approved and kitchen is the owner. He also said another table complained of burnt kufta and kitchen didn’t accommodate them either. If your employees are openly saying things like that, you have a problem. On top of all this, this place has the gall to charge an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of 4. Our group had 3 adults and a baby and the explanation was “we go by heads”. I’ve been to some of the finest establishments across the US and have never had any one of them count a child under 2 as a full headcount. All in all, I would not recommend this place. I get having a bad day or something but most places I’ve been to own up to their mistake and take care of their customers. I wasn’t asking for a full comp or some ridiculous discount but $4.25 on $95 + 18% gratuity ticket is just disrespectful and speaks volumes about the owner and their character.

I had really high hopes for this place as I have always driven by it and decided to go to lunch here. We had a group of six and even made a reservation for 11:30am even though it was probably not needed. It was a warm day and the ac was not on until we were getting ready to leave. The meal started off on a bad note. I asked if the cheese burekas were popular and something got lost in translation when the waitress said it's carbs with cheese and she thought I had asked if it was healthy. We decided to order that and a chicken samosa for appetizer. We were all ready to order when the waitress said oh I forgot to tell you we only offer breakfast and appetizers on Saturdays. This would have been nice to know before we saw the menus so then we had to take some time to change our choices. We put in our order for our breakfasts and the appetizer finally came out at 12:10pm and we were enjoying them when the waitress came back to say I lied it turns out we have everything on the menu and I didn't put your order in yet. So we placed our orders for what we originally had our eyes on and food finally was served an hour after being seated. While waiting for our food my husband was looking around and saw a giant cockroach on the floor crawling from the main hostess table. Nobody was nearby to help us get rid of it so one of us had to bite the bullet, crunch the cockroach and walk across the street to Taco Bell to dispose of it. The food was decent, although I had asked for chicken shawarma with a side of rice not fries. But after waiting so long I gave up and just had the fries. I wish there was pita bread to eat the hummus with as none was offered to us. Eventually we got boxes but the check took a bit to get to us. It is 18% gratuity added on for parties of 4 or more. I most likely will not be back anytime soon.

Good lord! There isn’t a better place to go for middle eastern food. Portions remind me of back home, prices are affordable given quality and quantity, hospitality is what Arabs are known for and that’s what you’ll get when you visit Amalfi.
