We ordered royal tea with boba and popcorn chicken. I'll start off with the chicken as 6/10 and the reason is that the portion is ehhh, the spice wasn't mixed well/shaken, and wasn't aware of paying 1.25 for sauce. The girl could've offered the sauce/basil so we could've paid just .25 cent. The Boba score is 8/10, enough to satisfy my boba carvings. I'm giving some slack since it's end of the day and of course it's not fresh boba so it's whatever. I'm not sure I'll come back unless it's convenient and boba only.

We love coming to have a drink, eat a snack, and play some board games. Very chill atmosphere, and a great selection of teas and toppings. The last time we were by, we had a Thai iced tea, a jasmine milk tea, and a mango milk tea with extra boba. All three were delicious and were severed quickly.

This was my first time back at Cafe Tapioca in years, I'd gone a few times back then to try some drinks but never really liked the flavor personally. I really wanted to like the drinks here because they are an OG for boba places in the area, family owned and here since 2003 which I can appreciate as a local who grew up here! I will say the store is always clean has lots of seating and even some games that you could sit and play. The staff always was kind when I came in too which is very nice! Fast forward to now, I had noticed I got an email from them the other day about a birthday gift to receive a free regular Royal Milk Tea which is a very nice offer that they have for their clients. So I thought hey why not give it another try! I unfortunately didn't really like the flavor of this drink either it was kind of plain to me and the boba seemed like it was maybe a lil bit old. I haven't ever tried the food here but I've seen lots of positive reviews of it, maybe I will have to give their food a try sometime in the future. The drinks here may not be my cup of tea and that's ok. It's still a nice spot that families and kids/teens can hangout, play games or maybe even study at!

Not sure what happened, but I ordered bubble tea, talked with the man about getting the tapioca pearls, and ended up with tea but no bubbles. Felt pretty anticlimactic. Didn't notice until I had driven away.Kid-friendliness: The shop was full of happy teens.

Slushies are great, milk teas are hit or miss. 3/5 times my milk teas were too watery.

I've been coming to Cafe Tapioca since high school when they opened in 2003 and to this day I have not found better milk tea despite going to tons of boba places all up and down the west coast. Too many places have bland drinks that you really don't taste the tea and are sickeningly sweet, but theirs have always been nicely balanced. The owner, Ed, and his staff have always been consistently great and friendly after all these years and it's great to see it hit 20 years!

A Dublin staple to be exact. This boba joint is one of the OG bubble tea cafes in the East Bay. A family owned business, with a lot of options for eats, treats, & games. I could imagine high schoolers coming in after school to study or hang out. I came here while it was empty on a week night & I was immediately greeted by the employees who welcomed us in. I like the flavors, everything is house made. We ordered gyoza & popcorn chicken which was pretty good, not the best I've had. I had the rose milk tea and I highly recommend it. There's seating--knick knacks to buy, and a TV. Most people place to-go orders.

This place is ok. Not great and not bad either. Lots of parking in the parking lot. Boba drinks are good but if you order hot foods then be prepare to wait 10-25mins.

A fun hang out spot! Be warned, the sweetness level runs on the SWEETER side! The selling point for me is the smoothies, which sets them apart from other boba shops. They make an avocado smoothie that my friend raves about. I got a lychee green tea, 50% sweet (but it tasted more like a 75% or even 100%), it was decent but tasted a bit on the bargain side. If I come back I'll definitely try a smoothie and stay for a game, there are so many options for both!
