Tables are not cleaned after customer leaves. Although plenty of places to sit, all tables had grease and crumbs.

As a southerner, I vouch for the food and their hospitality.

Great atmosphere!!!! I had a good time listening to the music. Fantastic customer service. I had the oxtails, they weren't bad. According to my kids, the chicken was fine.

Waited a hour for 2 plates for take out. After 30 min of waiting and watching other people be served they finally tell me they are out of oxtails. The kool-aid wasn't anything special. I even had to remind them that I paid for a dessert. The cake was dry. You can make this at home for less. Don't waste your time.

First time trying this place on 5/9/25 and I must say it’s pretty darn good. Service was great and the food was amazing. Fish was seasoned well and the sides was good although my rice was kinda clumpy. Service was fast also and I will definitely recommend coming here for some good food. I also liked the little jukebox playing the old school music.

The food was good and hot. We didn't make it in time for the ox tails (sold out). So we opted for southern fried chicken, greens, and rice and gravy. Our food arrived quickly, and it was piping hot...💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Our first time here and I can’t wait to come back to try more of this amazing food. I had the chicken and seafood gumbo. The cornbread was perfect. My husband had the oxtail and that was super tender and fell the bone.

I had gumbo and gave it a C. Just meh. The chicken pieces in it were dry, lots of plain sausage slices. My wife had fried catfish, fries and corn bread. The bread was dry, the fries soft. She said the fish was good. Prices here are high, like $25 a dish, prices that you would see at at mid-tier (a little fancy) restaurant. This is high for this kind of sit-down place, where they give you plastic cutlery. Our bill was $70 including a sweet tea, which didn't taste like tea at all.

They refused to take my order. Says they were closed for lunch between 3 and 4. I was there at 2:50 pm and they refused to take my order. Not good. Leaves a bad impression to new customers

This place is wonderful. The catfish is just amazing! I love the seasoning and it wasn't dry at all. The chicken is scrumptious and I love the machine and cheese. Not a fan of the greens or sweet potato but that's only because I don't like to eat too much sweet food. Not a fan of the banana pudding either as it's just not something I would eat. But definitely go and get yourself some fried chicken and cat fish! Highly recommended. And be quick cos they sell out fast and they sold out of gumbo.....so sad

Oh and th corn bread was super yummy!

Didn't answer the phone... Was turned away an hour prior to closing with door sign saying sold.... Drove from Livermore to try their soul cuisine. Will never do that again.

The food was delicious! I had the catfish, my partner had the fried chicken and we loved both.

Cherie's yams are great. The mac and cheese was not bad but a little greasy. My friend liked the catfish. We liked the cabbage. The baked smothered chicken was nice.

My friend was suprised that the utensils were the to go plastic kind, which she did not like. I had been to Cherie's before so I was aware of the type of utensils they use.

However, we had the banana pudding and it was the worst. On the flip side the staff was gracious enough to refund my friends money with no questions asked.

Finally soul food in the Tri Valley this place was phenomenal. The hospitality is great. The location is great. The parking is plenty. The ambience was on point. The restaurant was clean. The service was quick and fast. The food was simply delicious. The fish was crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside the fried chicken was an art of beauty. candy yams on point mac & cheese creamy. Peach cobbler was delicious. If you guys want that southern taste there it is in Dublin the same outdoor mall where lazy dog is located in Best Buy . there’s also the movie theater after you have a bite to eat go grab a movie. We get to
Thank you, Bryce for coming over to my table. You are a very unique young man. There was a picture of him and his mom who is the owner on the wall. The place hit home. They have this beautiful jukebox. Jaming tunes . I’ll give you five stars hands-down.
